    FYI,

No HDMI, no DVI, no component (without additional adapters) so only VGA, composite and s-video so only (crap) old inputs. Also low resolution and really short warranty on globe.

That's why it's called a "Business Data Projector", not a home theatre projector.

While more and more laptops are coming with HDMI or displayport sockets nowadays, virtually all business laptops will come with a VGA socket.

6 months warranty for the lamp is standard for InFocus and many others.

      • this has 3 months…

        • Dunno if his description is correct. On that page, click Technical Specs and scroll down to "Lamp Warranty" - it's 6 months.

The official infocus page also says 6 months.

"One of our other staff tried before but the deals weren't very popular."

All it takes is a good bargain to get ozbargain on your side (with decent service and the like). And when I say good bargain it really needs to be good, this is a group of highly informed people; so you can't just rely on people buying before checking all other avenues.

You are correct and in the future I will try to post according to your advice.

    • Spot on!

  • How heavy is it

  • No HDMI, so how are you supposed to output 720p?

    • +1

      VGA

      Hi

VGA carries 720P, on vga they won't be shown as "720p" or "1080i" instead will show 1280x720 and 1920x1080

      VGA.

DVI & HDMI are digital but they are not the only HD connections.

      It wont..
This is SVGA, so it can display a maximum of 600 vertical pixels.
Then you have to factor that it's 4:3 ratio so for a widescreen, it's really only going to be actively using 400 or so of those vertical pixels… (very roughly, I haven't done the maths, 100 pixels above and below the picture will be black for the letterboxing).
Sure it can accept 720 or 1080p but it can't display it with all that detail.

  • Odd… for me, the page that OzB's link sends me to shows maybe 6 other data projectors, with really HUGE prices (5-digits long, from $10,000 to almost $45,000, for pretty average looking gear).

Is this site broken… or - maybe - bogus?

    Would-be BUYER BEWARE !!!

    • Sounds like it's your browser that's broken. The correct page loads up for me.

  • This doesn't seem like much of a bargain, ie, with just xVGA input port…
it's like Office Works' end-of-life pricing on similarly -OLD- projectors.
