This is the ideal shark body. You may not like it, but this is what peak performance looks like.

Must resist temptation to buy toy from childhood I never had.

    • +12

      Don't resist.
If you haven't played for a long time, do it.

Get a colouring book and just sit down and colour in. Buy this and sit there and drive the little cars around.

But a bag of army men and wage a war from the dishrack supporters to the toaster people.

Trust me, recapturing pieces from childhood feels phenomenal. Go play.

The description is for a different set to the one they have pictured.

  • The one in the picture is great if it’s that one, it’s huge

Just a warning- if you buy from kmart do not order it online but get it in person.i ordered 13 things from their website and took 4 weeks to deliver 8 items and have no idea if the remaining items will ever come. Look up kmart on product reviews and its a common issue. I initially didn't check the kmart reviews as I thought it was a big chain and in-person shopping at kmart is decent. Sorry to hijack thread but don't want disappointed people at Christmas

So true. The wait time is unbelievable. I eventually got my items, but WOW!!

  • This looks sick I'd have loved this as a kid

Hmm. I have a 6 months old daughter, can I use her as an excuse for me to buy this for myself..

  • +2

Grabbed this for my friends kid who is 5 along with 60 extra cars. He was playing with it non-stop for weeks. Even the little girl whos 2 was messing with it. One of the best things about it is you can buy other hot wheels sets and attach it, to the point where you can have 10+ sets all over the floor and all connected with roads and even little shunting things that propell the cars around, so its a great starter for future add-on gifts. It'll be loud but my word there is no kid or adult who wouldnt suddenly want to play with that. Definitely an excellent gift if anyones thinking of getting an early christmas present to be ready for the holidays.

The description mentions small choking hazards; is that only the cars themselves or are there other bits to be aware of?

(I have a car obsessed two year old who has loads of Hot Wheels cars but no tracks yet)

      • I'm sure its just the cars. To be fair every toy seems to have a choking hazard label. Just put there so companies cant get sued if one champ decides something looks tasty.

  • Give me the old school Fisher Price garage anyday

And I still loved mine and was a happy kid

There is something about buying toys you wanted when you were a kid, as an adult that makes you feel like you finally made it in life 😁

Random story: My dad only let us have one flavor of Nesquik at home. Had to finish it to get another one. One of the first things I did when moving out was to buy the strawberry and chocolate together. Now when I open up my cabinet and see both flavors of Nesquik, I know I run the show 😁. A shame the banana one is gone.

This really struck a chord. That was the same with juice, you can't open a new one until the old one was finished.

Now that I've got my own place, the whole shelf row for where the milk should go has 4 different flavours of juice and chocolate milk open.

The most memorable part for me moving out was finding out I could eat multiple Cornetto drumstick's /paddle pops in the one sitting.

      • Cornetto drumstick's /paddle pops

ice cream doesn't taste as nice like it used to be (for me anyways)

      • Haha ohhh I feel it, what a great feeling knowing you can have all the flavors without finishing one. That shelf of yours is beautiful 😁

Haha we used to be told not to have too much ice cream because it would make us sick, it appears the human body has evolved since I was young 😁

If it’s the one pictured it was $75.65 from Amazon in September. I purchased it. Kids love it.

    OP's username Oh! Oh!

  • Managed to get David Jones to price match a few days back. My local Kmart was already out of stock (an idea if anyone else is in same boat). Target can also price match. For a 4 year old just starting out, what’s the cheapest place to buy the hot wheels cars in bulk? Santa will need to add some cars to the set

    • Lots on facebook marketplace

    • Around Black Friday big w has been known to have a 10 for $10 deal on hot wheels

Kmart kept cancelling my order so found it on target https://www.target.com.au/p/hot-wheels-city-robo-t-rex-ultim… for the same price
Received a prompt to sign up to newsletter for a further $10 off. Got it for $75 delivered. Open incognito window if the prompt doesn't show.
