        Yeah because of the current Bragg enquiry on crypto going on or had just concluded in the Senate, Nexo temporary switched off their exchange feature which lets you buy on their site.

        So in the meantime, you need to buy from another place like an exchange etc. and then transfer into Nexo.

          Tether (USDT) is not very transparent about what assets back their stablecoin. Recent findings revealed that a large portion of USDT is backed by risky corporate debt as opposed to cash/cash equivalents that they previously claimed

          What actual assets back USDT are anyone’s guess….the only reason why its still alive is its popularity on exchanges. Even USDC can be frozen.

          My stablecoin of choice is UST (Luna protocol)

      use FTX (previously known as blockfolio) app. It has free crypto withdrawals. Though, they only offer USDT for stablecoins.

    After further investigation, we can confirm that your referral credit was declined since you didn't cover the requirements for the promo. To be more specific the requirement was to keep the value of your assets in the account above 100$, unfortunately, the value of your assets decreased which cause your balance to go under the minimum requirement of 100$

      Unfortunately they are quite strict with these bonuses. When I first signed up, I missed mine too, pleaded but to no avail. It was the same with Celsius too with some of their promo codes.

        Celcius doesn't worry about the crypto drop , I did their bonus at the same time too and got the money , they only care about initial investment

        • Sorry I should be more specific. When I was saying some of Celsius’ promo codes, I was referring to an incident I had where I accidentally withdrew but immediately deposited back in a minute later, but still a no to the bonus from Celsius support.

        There is no term of such as maintaining $ value for 30 days in their app when you click on the “how it works” in the referral section.
        They have rejected mine too based on $ value and I contacted them requesting to pay. Maintaining $ value for 30 days doesn’t make sense in crypto world due to volatility nature of crypto and it’s dodgy if they don’t pay referrals based on this. I recommend everyone contacting them requesting payment based on their in app terms.

    • thanks for the explanation, wondering why I never got my bonus, yeah my crypto did decrease below 100 (did put a buffer of 120, but it dropped a lot since last month to be around 90 now). I sent them email, but never even got any response. terrible customer service, sorry going to neg this, waste of time

      • With email, it will take them forever to response back.

        There are several ways you can live contact support:
        - in the chat feature on the app, type in “Human” and you’ll go onto a queue to chat with a live support person which operates 24/7.
        - you can contact the mods who looks after Nexo’s subreddit.
        - you can also contact the mods in Nexo’s Telegram group.

        • Thanks. I tried, like others said above, their excuse was we need to maintain the $100 balance at all time. And no, can't even topup if it fells below 100 for 1 second during that 1 month as the system would automatically reject the referral.

          • @hny3: Yes I am afraid they are quite strict with this.

            I am not sure how long you have to wait to be defined as a new customer (maybe check with support) but you can close the account now and sign up again later on. There are always bonuses happening in crypto, perhaps maybe even more later on.

            • @ilovefullprice: Their wording that the support quoted back to me was: "The people you refer must pass Advanced Verification and top up $100 or more in supported assets by Dec 31 and hold those assets in their account for at least 30 days". How u even interpret that as the balance need to be $100+ at all time during the 30 days?

                • @ilovefullprice: They said that's a requirement to maintain it at all time. They couldn't overturn the system decision. At the end, they asked back the email of the person referring me and I couldn't answer (was using the random pool here), so I stopped asking.

                  • @hny3: No point going further I reckon. I would ask them what the definition of a new customer is and then close off the account. There are plenty of other CeFi’s you could use right now while you wait.
