I personally found this effective with noticeable improvement but YMMV.

Smooths rough idle and eliminates hard starts giving cleaner, quieter operation

This is good stuff and worth putting in your car once a year but there are a bunch of other brands all just as good. Buy whatever is on special and the cheapest with good reviews.

  Really, i have religiously been putting the same oil (brand, type and grade) in the car since last 8 years, won't risk putting in random shit. Even if these things work, I'd be sticking to the same item every time.

  Sealed "Fuel injector cleaners have an average shelf life of five years".
  
  Just used a bottle of Rislone that I purchased 3-4 years ago. Still works great.
