How to find bargains?

I'm looking for some tips on how to find bargains.

Please tell me how you generally find a bargain; Are you just subscribed to a lot of mailing lists? Do you actively search for a bargain somehow? or do you just generally know the cheapest sources and check them?

When I'm looking for the cheapest price on something i just use a compare prices site and then check some known sources. But this i believe has to be a primitive, or minimal way of locating bargains.

    The best way to find a bargain is check at Ozbargain :-)

    Seems to me the regular stuff comes from similar sources ie, known retailers and facebook promos.

    The true gold is being at the right place at the right time (ie luck and keeping your eyes open). Then AFTER you have what you want tell OB.

    First I use ozbargains search and see if it ever was a bargain and if it was then I have a base price to shoot for it the deal is no longer avaliable. Then I just use google to find another deal.

    People seem to always put up bargains from dse, WOW etc BEFORE the emails are sent out.
