I've collected a bunch of shovelware titles on Steam from giveaways. Over 50% of my Steam Library would be freebies

      • +10

% of Epic library played is 0?

        • Totally. Someday i might actually install it.

      I paid $1500 for RTX3060Ti

      • +3

Better stick to these free games for a while then ;)

      • +1

My condolences, scalping needs to be addressed for the 4000 series

        • +1

My thoughts are either wait or get a second job/gig/source of income/win lotto/get lucky on crypto/start begging.

  • I can’t read the full credit link because I don’t know German. Does it say anywhere how they know the game will be free?

    • +1

Is this the one with the 2.5D nonsense? Pass

  • +1

Love these three games. China was previously free back in February 2021. Glad to be getting all three (China, India & Russia).

  • +3

Anyone else disappointed with AC Valhalla

    • +2

Yer paid $30 for it and played it for an hour.
Same with Far Cry 6, now about to be uninstalled.

      • +12

Ubisoft open-world games are just not fun to play unless you like grinding. I wish they would tone back the fetch quests and grinding and just make a liner game that is decent length like 10-12 hours and focus on good gameplay and story.

        • +3

I use Flings trainer to skip the grinding. It helps to skip single player grinding then you can enjoy the story and game after and decide if its good or not.

      • +4

I enjoyed both Valhalla and Far Cry 6 about 80 hours combined. Different strokes for different folks!

    • +10

      Yeah it wasn't the best.
Odyssey was better, but the best AC IMO was Black Flag.
      That was a great game

      • +1

This game made sea shanties a thing long before it became trendy last year.

    • +5

I won a PS5 copy of it earlier this year.

More disappointed that I can't get a PS5 to play it on right now.

    • +1

Valhalla is my first AC game and I've really enjoyed it, put about 130 hours in. I've started Odyssey and am looking forward to trying a few more! Is Chronicles good?

      • +3

        Mate, try Black Flag.
I liked Odyssey more than Valhalla

  • +2

looks like I already bought the trilogy 3 years ago for $12

  • +6

Ezio Trilogy then Black flag were best assassin's Creed.
I'd like to try unity with Ray tracing on pc

    • Thanks, I didn't even know that was a thing.

I've got a 3070 on order, and will give it a try then.

  • +2

Brotherhood was my favourite. But it was honestly its multiplayer that hooked me in.

  • +1

Couldn't figure it out. Is this a separate game in the series or a collection of three games?

    • +3

It’s a separate game. It’s a three part game but you could essentially just call them three storylines. It’s not a open world game like the other assassin creeds. It’s a 2.5D side scroller.

  • Played the China one. Amazing game. Can’t wait to play the other two.

  • +1

Nice find! I have China and loved it. It's a nice short game that's cleverly made as a stealth side-scroller. I wish they made an opened-world version of China.

  • +4

    Now live!

    • +1

      Yes, confirmed:

You can claim your free game on Ubisoft Connect PC from November 9th at 20:00 to November 12th at 21:00 (your local time) and you will be able to play it at any time!

  • +1

    Thanks. I just claimed it.

It shows up as each seperate game in Ubisoft Connect.

Chronicles China, Chronicles India and Chronicles Russia.

  • +2

SIMPLE question… can you guys think of a longer running series that kinda tries to pretend to paint a wholistic picture but ultimately fails to close the loop or give any closure to the series and it's "universe". I thought I was about to be told the meaning of life and universe itself for a while in these games but a couple of titles in; they just became a reskinned version with a new character.

  • Thanks just claimed it

  • Claimed, have so many Assassin’s Creed games in my library never play.

  • +1

I've claimed the game but it's not showing up in my Ubisoft Connect account. Weirdly I only have two games from Ubisoft, one free and one South Park: The Fractured, But Whole I bought a year ago.

    • +1

Same here, I think there’s something weird going on with my Ubisoft account

  • so we get 1 free game everyday ?

    • +1

so we get 1 free game everyday ?

All of them Assassin's Creed Chronicles Trilogy

      • oh i see i thought 1 game free for 35 days to celebrate

  • Never heard much good about any of these games, but they pop up for free here and it gets an avalanche of ++++++'s lol

  • I don't buy games because I have added so many free ones from Steam and Epic. Is it worthwhile creating an Ubisoft account to get free games other than this? Or does it happen very rarely? I don't even know if I would get around to trying Assassin's Creed.

    • They may give other games away during Christmas. They have given a number of free games out over the years.

      • Thanks. I tried searching OzBargain to see how often it happens and it certainly isn't as frequent as Steam/Epic. But if it's not just a once off or one every 1 or 2 years, I'll give it a go.

    • Yes its worth it sign up Ubisoft, Epic and Steam for free games I have done this past few years

      • yup i have those 3 and set those 3 keyword in ozb so i get notified for free games when available
