Macquarie Bank New Customer Questions

Hi guys, the wife and I have just opened a Savings and Transaction Account with Macquarie Bank.

I have a couple of questions that I hope someone might be able to help with:

  • I've read on here about customers getting a customer agent or advisor to be able to call etc, how would I go about getting one of these?

  • Can someone recommend the better Credit Card between the two Black Cards (Macquarie Rewards or Qantas Points)?

    Customers with relationship mgrs are high net worth customers, so if you need to ask it probably isnt for you as its not a free service

      And usually the account name is not "Savings and Transaction Account".

        Yeah they're on Macquarie's private banking platform.

      Ask the manager what their interest rate is for $250,000.

        Not what I was expecting.
        Surprised they have stopped issuing Credit Cards to standard customers too.

    Account transfer to internal accounts is also not instant, with same BSB. Transferring from Savings to CMA not instant. Worst. Bpay Transactions takes 3 days.

      I’ve not had this issue from transaction to savings and credit card.
      Agree with external transactions though, these guys need to get this lack of Osko sorted asap.
