Sugar is poison? Lol
Diabetes, fatty liver, metabolic disease and certain cancers (to name a few conditions exacerbated by sugar intake) are no joke.
Sweetened with two of the worst artificial sweeteners (Aspartame and Sucralase).
I agree with this, but
sugar is still poison.
Along these lines, the very air we breathe is also poison because of all the diseases you can catch through it.
Sugars are actually an important part of dietary intake, don't lump everything into 'sugar'. I'm assuming you're meaning things like high fructose corn syrup, for which case - yes, obviously better to minimise. Btw not saying that these are healthy by all means but this isn't marketed as a health drink.
Besides, sugar in energy drinks aren't even the biggest issue.
@pennypincher98: Our bodies can make all the sugar it needs from fat and protein via gluconeogenesis. That is the basis of the ketogenic diet which is very popular these days at reversing many of the diseases a high carb diet causes.
It wasn't until very recently in human history that we started cultivating grains and eating refined carbohydrates. While sanitation and medicine helped eradicate transmissible diseases, processed grains and other "healthy" sugars have resulted in many diseases such as diabetes and many obesity related diseases that were not prevalent when humans had a low carb diet throughout history.
@studentl0an: Few things wrong here, especially where you talk about keto diet. It's supposed to be a short term weight loss plan. However it's not really safe. Increased rate of heart disease, low blood pressure, hyperlipidemia, fatty liver disease are "not a joke" in your terms.
"healthy" sugars have resulted in many diseases
Ah yes, fruit (fructose) which has been around since the beginning of time is all of a sudden causing disease.
And then you go on to talk about early 'humans' lol. They never had refrigeration and they still managed, so why do we need it now?
Almost your entire response is wrong.
Sugar is poison?
It causes muscle inflammation across the whole body.
The effects of a life time of grain and sugar consumption really become apparent around the age of 35 or so in terms of looks.
worst how?
It's been pretty well proven at this stage that both are fine. That journal article you post is just rehashing a 15 year old study that was disproven.
I just don't like the headaches I get when consuming too much sugar. And the "sugar high" is all too real.
So used to no sugar stuff now that when I have a can of "normal" coke, my whole body reacts negatively to it.
Do yourself a favor and get something along the lines of ON Amino Energy/body effects etc instead of this shit.
what are those for? is it similar to Musashi
Sweetened with two of the worst artificial sweeteners (Aspartame and Sucralase).
Better off with sugar IMO, and sugar is still poison.
