So my second TV blew up this morning (LG 50PV250 Full HD Plasma 10.5 yrs old). This looks like a good replacement and down to $2270 (metro delivery included) at Appliance Central.

Anyone know what price protection cards are available these days?
When I went to sign up for the Latitude 28° card they no longer offered price protection.
Nothing that comes close to it. Other cards have too many ifs.
Pick up only so will be no good for most.
Just look at last year's model, the CX. Cheapest it's been that I've seen on OzBargain is $2220.
I just got my G1 a couple weeks ago and it's changed my life. Wish I bought it earlier for $500 more!
CX prices were inflated last year due to covid. 55" C9s bottomed around $1700.

It might go lower but not much, maybe another $100? Personally, I don't think it will be discounted during Black Friday. Retailers use that time to move goods that do not sell well.
If you TV is blow up, isn't that a good reason to buy a LG C1 55” 4K OLED? No-brainer!!

I put the OLED in a dark room and was blown away by the inky blacks adjacent to bright HDR highlights. Especially with space movies
Wasted years with crappy LCD panels where everything dark just looks grey…
Thanks everyone, decided to take the plunge after my local TGG said I could have one for $2250.
For what it's worth, I got the 55 A80J down to $2350 from TGG. No regrets at all, even if it does drop another 1-200.
No guarantee it'll drop in price for BF nor there'll still be stock. You might want to use a price protection card which seems to be popular here.
