$82.99? That's absurd. Looked into it and it's out of stock at JB. Don't know if that has anything to do with it but yeah, good album but not $82.99 good.

    • You can still find it in stores in JB and it's priced at $82.99. So greedy.

      • Ah, then I've nothing to defend them. Jerks.

Yeah, don't be a daft punk and pay that much.

Niche products are expensive. I don't think that should come as a revelation to anyone with half a brain.

Even a cursory glance through JB's vinyl selection makes it pretty clear it's not some outrageous outlier price 🤷‍♂️

I wanted to do an album with the sounds of the fifties
The sounds of the sixties, of the seventies
And then have a sound of the future
And I thought "Wait a second
I know the synthesizer, why don't I use the synthesizer
Which is the sound of the future"
And I didn't have any idea what to do but I knew I needed a click
So we put a click on the 24-track
Which then was synced to the Moog modular
I knew that could be a sound of the future
But I didn't realize how much the impact would be

so true about jb. support your local record stores people (ie not amazon either)

    • Why? JB Hi-Fi isn't some small, locally-owned record shop.

      • not saying it is. im responding to how OP said 'JB Hi-Fi's prices on vinyl have become disgusting'

        • Oh, that makes way more sense, doh!

  • Love it, bought it!

I'm so old. This album is worthless. Their only good album was their first.

I'm so old. And grumpy. Shakes fist at cloud

  • It costs more, the medium is incapable of reaching CD quality and it has a manufacturing process that involves a lot more toxic chemicals.

I agree. I loved vinyl back in the day, but I won't defend its use any more.

Like it or not, vinyl has made a return. Prices are sky high, reissues are coming through thick and fast. I think people like the idea of owning something physical again and not just playing through an app.

    • While I agree with you in general, I might add this specific album sounds fantastic on vinyl, I would go as far as to say it sounds better than the digital format. I don't have the CD version to compare so I can't comment on its CD performance.

    • The modern DAC is also getting so close to analogue signal for the like of Vinyl and the HD version of this album has more dynamic as well.

  • This is back in stock at this price, showing 5 left, and I grabbed one
