depends on what sort of enclosure you're looking at I guess. But yeh, you're paying $50-100 premium over a 2.5" SSD without an enclosure.

Mine failed and I lost all the data in the drive. Cannot even recover/reformat/fix using the WD tool or even Windows drive management.
Hope you got a refund for that
Die after a few weeks, return to amazon.
I bought a WD Passport Go 500Gb and it failed in less than 6mths. I suggest don't waste your time on this model.
Same model but 500GB version. Now for some reasons it writes at less than 60MB/s. For an SSD, yeah… Even after secure erase.
Not really recommended. I agree, the BX500 is probably gonna be much better in performance while cheaper than this.
Wouldn't it be better to just get an MX500 and an enclosure?
