  • What's the process when you're on Boost already, and want to renew with the above deal? i.e., How do you temporarily change phone providers (what do you buy) to facilitate changing back to Boost

    • I knew ppl switched to optus/voda for like few days then back
the point is you might need to cost extra 5 to 10 bucks to bring your number to other providers (not too sure if you can still activate a $2 amaysim without recharge voucher/bank credit)

    • Change to Optus $1 flex for 1 day. Or just contact Boost support team to move your number to the new SIM pack.

      • Can you elaborate on those things you mentioned?

        • check out previous deal posted on Ozb.

    • Contact boost and they will sort it.

I'm with Vodaphone on Kogan and the coverage is trash. Wouldn't recommend.

Thats mobile for you. We have a Vodafone and Amaysim (Optus) and its largely the same with the exception of when we get out of the city its a random mess. At home Vodafone is usually faster (200mbps+ on 4G), but when i visit my parents Voda is bad (wrong side of a hill by the looks of it). Point is, it varies wildly between carriers based on location. Especially for Vodafone and Optus.

    • Well, honestly the signal is not super good if far away from city region.

    • Also other factors like mobile models, building materials, numbers of ppl around etc…

Not everyone lives in your area.

anyone else getting sick of this dumb comments

      • +1

Dumb comments on coverage? Yes. It's like banging your head against the wall over and over. Because coverage is bad for one user, doesn't mean it'll be bad for another, it really is that simple. We all use our phones in different areas. And after this long, the majority of us know what network works best for us.

    • I'm on Vodafone here in Melbourne and get coverage everywhere I travel. Depends on the individual and where you live or travel to.
I rarely travel to remote or unpopulated areas so I'm very happy with Vodafone and usually get 4G speeds of around 200Mbps.
If you live in a relatively unpopulated area or regional, of course, Vodafone won't be the best option, but for the majority of the population that live in a capital city, Telstra/Optus and Vodafone are much the same from my experience, and I change providers every 6 to 12 months for new customer signup deals, so I don't care who I go with, just whatever the best 6 or 12 month prepaid deal is at the time.

  • -$180/180 Days plan now $160, 33.3GB per 30 days, Unlimited to 46 countries standard talk & text, 100 minutes Zone 1 International Call Wallet
    (200GB total, was 180GB)

Not the cheapest. Currently offered at Lebara for $99.

-$140/360 Days plan now $125, 6.66GB per 30 days, Up to 300 minutes International standard talk and text

Better off paying $10 extra/$150 total on Lebara for 180GB and unlimited calls to 26 countries.
