I own a pair.
The sound quality is superb.
The noise canceling on these are absolutely phenomenal on par with Sony WF1000XM3 (if not better).
They are super comfy to wear.
For the price they are a steal.

    The reviews are not good

    • Saw the reviews after your comment. The reviews does not make any sense to me. Mine are superb. I use them for work calls all the time. Poor quality control? Too many faulty pairs?

      • +2

Yeah I saw other review websites, and for this price it's a no brainer.

Bit bass heavy, amazing noise cancellation. Cheap.

No aptx though. But this doesn't seem to bother sound quality from reviews.

  • +1

    Better than airpod pros?

    • +3

Airpod pros aren’t the benchmark for a lot of categories in tw headphones. They’re also 3 times the price.

      • +1

I've had about 5 different brands of tw headphones, and for me the airpods pro are the best.

I fly a lot so noise cancelling of airplane noise is top priority for me, and these have the best noise cancelling for that type of noise, paired with comply foam they are even better. WF-1000MX4 does have slightly better noise cancelling overall, but the airpods beat them on the plane.

A lot of people complain about the microphone quality though when I am on teams meetings/phone calls. Though most reviews rate it so I might have a dodgy pair.

    • Hard to compare, especially with the vastly different price tags.

  • Where is it made please?

  • I am thinking to buy my first pair of ear buds, can anyone tell me if these would be compatible with Iphone ?

    • Yes they are compatible with iphone. Also supports AAC codec

  • for ppl who owned a pair of this, how is the call quality? especially outside in windy environment? I mostly use mine to call while driving.

    • +1

The call quality is very good. I use them for my meetings all the time. I am not sure if it is a good idea to wear these while driving. These absolutely cancel out the noise completely.

  • -1

for an extra $20 these are better: https://mifo.com.au/products/mifo-o5-smart-true-wireless-blu…

You can even wear them in the shower!

    • +2

Not equivalent, as they don't have noise cancellation

    • How are they better?

  • Is the lack of AptX codecs a factor to consider?

    • I don't think so. If you are using an iphone, does not even matter.

  • Thanks OP. Got one based on your strong recommendation. Much appreciated.

  • Does anyone know if it can be used to connect to pc? If so how is the sound quality? Also OP you seem to have used for a while, do your ears feel uncomfortable after wearing it for a while? Thx

    • For my ears they are pretty comfortable.
I think it is dependent on the individual.
For comparision the tws earphones that I found uncomfortable are creative outlier air v1, JBL Free X, Audio Technica ANC300TW, Sony WFXB700.
I suggest watch youtube videos of the product https://www.youtube.com/results?search_query=panasonic+sz500
      Then decide.
And with amazon the returns are pretty easy.

      • Thx mate. Much appreciated.

  • Good pick. I just bought

70 minutes of playtime is less than my train journey and most of my internal flights so not ideal.

    • +4

70 mins playtime after the 15min quick charge, 6.5hrs from a full charge

  • Oos?

  • +1

Was about to get a pair, but the reviews are pretty brutal and bad.

  • +1

They look bulky (i.e. sticking out quite a bit) and possibly heavy

  • +3

My order came in this morning.. intial thoughts

    • they feel light and form factor is a welcome comparing against the XM3
    • initial audition's a bit disappointing but gets better the longer I used them. This coming from my daily Sony WI1000X and WF1000XM3.
    • they are comfortable and feel like it will not hurt after a few hours of use unlike the XM3
    • build seems a little cheap again comparing to the Sony or Apple. But very good value for this price.
    • noise cancelling is good, can't complain. They might be slightly better than the Sony's but probably because they fit better for me.

Bottom line, I still prefer the sound profile of the Sony's for now. I guess I'm slow to move on as I still use my dependable almost 4yo WI1000X after picking up the XM3 6mo ago.
I am happy overall and willing to set aside the XM3 over this. I will buy it again knowing what I know now, I can't say the same for the XM3. Maybe I will finally move on from the WI1000X with this, I just like the convenience of a quick plug and drop with hanging headphones.
