  I'd avoid this design.

  The weight of the holder and the phone make the vent fins move down all the time.

  Unless the vent fins in your car are extra stiff, this is going to be annoying.

    That's exactly what I thought as soon as I saw the photo.
    I had a much smaller air vent phone holder and even that one failed me.

        that cygnett base is better, it's available on some similar models. Doesn't droop but still slides left to right. The ball joints are all a very similar size so I swapped out my preferred phone mount with the better base.

I always see frequent deals ad for Baseus Air Vent Mounted Car Phone Holder, so wondering how's this one in comparison to Baseus. I am looking to buy one for my samsung s21 ultra phone with thick plastic cover in back.

  i find it odd that these arent built into modern cars. Not this design as such, but somewhere to put your phone. Acknowledge that you can link up via apple play etc but still.
