Link to black for $80.67

I know it isn't the best discount or deal, but I have been looking at getting one of these for a while now as the standard silicone band doesn't like my skin and this is the lowest price I have seen on these for months. Yes you can get cheaper on eBay, but these Nylon ones are meant to be much better quality (we shall see).

Cashback at the moment is 6% on both Cashrewards and ShopBack.

Does it have a built in defibrillator for this price

  • thats some expensive band

  • Tis expensive I know but there isn’t any decent cloth/nylon bands out there. There a couple on eBay but they don’t look very good quality at all. A lot of reviews say that the Quickfit connection is often loose in non-branded bands. And I definitely don’t want this falling off my wrist.

  • That much for just a band, it better come with Jarvis

$18.49 (was $45) for Garmin silicone 20mm berry colour (https://www.amazon.com.au/gp/product/B07RD8GPD2/ref=ppx_yo_d…). Alternatively, $20.83 for sandstone colour.

That’s a different size, it’s compatible with a completely different set of watches. Can’t compare apples with oranges.

      • Sorry, should have specified alternative option for other Garmin users, not comparison.

  • Is this just a standard 22mm quick release band?

    • No. Quick release and Quickfit are two different things (confusing I know). Quick release 22mm bands fit different watches to Quickfit 22 bands.

I think Quick release is the old system and isn’t used on that many Garmin watches.

Review - going to stick to my default. Wish these bands were so much cheaper.

    • My mate has had his one for 6 months and says it’s still in perfect condition, so maybe it’s a bit of a gamble?

I wish I could stick to the default, my skin is getting rashes/blisters from the silicone so had to look at something different.

      • Had the same issue so Now switch between arms daily and if I get it wet I dry it.
Seems to stop the rashes for me.

        • Does that affect the stats at all? I know there is an “arm” selection to tell it which arm it’s on (I’m guessing maybe the turn to wake function).

I don’t even shower with mine on because I read somewhere that can’t sometimes be the cause. Must just have sensitive lil skin.

          • @JoKing: Pretty much the only time I take mine off is for showering and I put it on charge for that time. Basically charging it for 10-15 minutes a day and on the vary rare occasion I might need to do a Ionger charge.
I recall reading that the arm selection is for the wake screen function however that seems to work fine both arms.

  • I was buying the cheaps ones off of AliExpress. They last just as long. I was wearing it in the pool all the time too

    https://www.aliexpress.com/wholesale?trafficChannel=main&d=y…

    • Which ones did you get?

The only one I’d maybe get is one like this. Even then, I think they look quite thin and the clasp doesn’t look very strong.

I only buy the rubber ones. I was paying like $4-$6. I make sure the search is sorted by orders so only the top sellers are at the top

  • The issue is you really need two quick release bands for it to make sense. So you can swap them. Quickly.
If you’re just using a single band then there is no point.

    • I do have to agree here. Never really made sense as to why watch bands are advertised as being so quick to swap. Do people swap theirs that much?

I’d maybe put the silicone back on if I was going for a weekend snorkel or something? But other than that I use the same band 24/7.

  • Good deal, Garmin watch bands rarely go on sale. I have tried the cheaper versions but the clips don't hold. Falls off while digging in the garden. Not worth the risk while riding a bike ride or in the ocean.

    • Yeah this was exactly my point further up. It is a lot for a band but I’ve heard bad things about the cheaper eBay/Ali ones. And they’re never on sale so thought I’d jump at this.

  • What a ridiculous price for a couple of dollars worth of silicone and metal.

I will eventually need to replace the band on my instinct solar, but I'll be damned paying $80 for it.

    • These arent the silicone ones. If you are gonna get a silicone one, for sure get a cheaper one from eBay or the like, there are heaps of options. As for the nylon/cloth bands, there aren’t many options that look like decent quality.

I bought these nylon straps for Fenix 6x for $13. Very quick shipping (received in 2 weeks) and good quality.

Will by another one in a different colour.

    • How do you find how well they stay strapped? Is it a magnetic clasp?
