Dell Latitude 5421 Laptop Worth It?

Hey all,

Looking to buy the following and I think it is a good price. Thoughts on the laptop? Appears on sale for $1,173.63 with 15% additional cashback bringing it down to $997.59. Normally retails at $3,045.40.

Planning on adding in a bigger SSD and maybe upgrade the RAM to dual 16GB.

For general home usage, maybe a little light gaming is this worth it?

  Intel 12th gen will be announced soon , which is why there's a bunch of laptop sales. If you need a laptop, sure its an ok price.
  Just note that the RRP of 3k is complete BS.

  Since you're buying this mostly for home use, and portability is less of a concern - have you considered the G15 line with the 3050 graphics card? It'll handle games better, and be future proof a little more. Though it looks like these start at $1.5k with only 8gb ram from Dell.

    Thanks for the reply. Had a look at the G15 but I couldn't justify the extra $500~ extra. I figured the RRP was total crap but I guess I figured that the CPU and RAM was decent enough. Am I mistaken? Wasn't looking to run crazy games just things like Genshin Impact for example.
