      House10 removes $104.85, ie 15%,

and LatitudePay removes $50. However, stock is low, and you'll probably need to pay $8 for delivery.

I thought about it, and … I'd need to actually listen to the Beam Gen2 to see if Psy-Model Atmos i.e. Virtual Atmos is anything remarkable.
For a small room or bedroom, it's probably a good deal as the Dialog Enhancement i've heard is substantial.

Not $600 substantial, maybe $200 headphones substantial. Virtual Atmos is the kind of thing you find on $150 Gaming headphones or Airpod clones, along with Virtual 7.1 Surround sound and X-Reality, X-Fi, Super-Fi, Pulse 3D Audio et al.

It's a DSP that has HRTF software on it to create virtual audio and room reverb to give the impression of a wide sound stage for stereo content. You're paying a lot for the Sonos brand, and some decent stereo woofers, but it's worth listening to IMO.

So, yes, you can get another $50 off…..?

        • +2

Can confirm you can get another $50 off with latitude pay, and combined with Cashrewards cash back it comes to around $530!

      • You would get infinitely better sound from headphones compared to a single soundbar that can't even do stereo sound without bouncing sound off walls

        • Don’t most “single” sound bars have more than one built in speakers? You don’t need walls to get stereo sound…

          • @GregFiona: Yes they have many tiny speakers, but the issue is that for a sound to come from your left for example, the speaker needs to be to your left. So a front left speaker should be in front of you, and half a metre to a metre away from the tv.

The equivalent is putting a single portable speaker in front of your face and expecting stereo, it has multiple speakers in it.

  • code also works on Arc comes down to $1274.15.

  • Oh man I did not need to see this today.

I assume I can still sell my gen 1 for $400, which means with LP it will only cost me $150 to upgrade…which seems great.

      In the same boat!!

    • Ended up buying one - $602 (inc delivery) - $50 (latitude) - ~$24 cashback = $528.
Hopefully i can sell my gen1 for around $400 (have seen some sell for as high as $475 recently on ebay!)

  • Bought one! Thanks Op.

  • You guys think this is a good upgrade from the Yamaha Yas 108 sound bar for lots of movies and tv shows?

    • Interested to know this as well. I've got the YAS108 and it's ok, but not great by any means. I bought it to help boost my 12 year old 40 inch Sony TV's sound, and now that I have a 65" X90J, I need something a bit better in the sound department.

I have a beam and have it paired with 2x ikea sonos rears. All works well but it really needs the sub which is crazy expensive.
Id probably stick with the YAS108 and update to something else.

Thanks, got one. Firstly it applied a price match (reduced original price by $10), then this voucher, then Latitude Pay $50 bonus as well. Also used Shopback, so hopefully another $20 saving there. Not a bad saving at all! Cheers.

  • Order placed yesterday but got a call from local TGG this morning that no stock for now - can cancel the order or may wait till Dec. not a good experience.
