Please Help Identifying This Plant

I am a noob in gardening. Please tell me if the following plant on my lawn is a weed (and I should get rid of it) or not.

It grows always flat on my lawn.

Bro, pretty sure that's just a stem of the grass itself.

They use those to spread out, drop rhizomes into new parts of the ground and jump over obstacles like garden borders.

Looks similar ro runners in our Sir Walter Buffalo lawn - I just cut them off

that's one of the weed grass, definitely not kikuyu or buffalo. But your lawn is overrun with weeds, I can see plenty of creeping oxalis in the background.
