  • I understand the multi colour printing capability.
Apart from that. How does it stack against the Creatly 3 v2 and/ or Vyper??
    3d printing n00b here….

    • Hi roshee007, the selling point of this printer is 3 in 1 out Extrusion. It can mix 3 colors when you are printing.

    • -3

      another marketing gimmick

      • +1

It has 3 extruders and will print in 3 different colours, how is that a marketing gimic?
How well it does that is up for debate, but the feature is there if you choose to use it

        • -2

sure, considering that either colour is usually irrelevant to the model or model get painted - yes multi colour printing is a feature to go lol

          • +1

@SHPION: If you plan on painting all your prints, then this is not the printer for you.

There's definetly a market for people that want color with their 3D prints that they don't have to go in and finish up with paint.

        • Is it possible to use :
Spool one with disolvable material for support
One color or material for infill
One color or material for the outer layer of the print??

In theory it would create an easy to clean strong print….

            @roshee007:

Is it possible to use :

My previous workplace had a 3D printer like that, one filament was PLA, the other was ABS. The PLA was dissolved away with caustic soda, so you could make things that are not printable in a single print job with single-head printers.

The downside is that you'll be printing both types of filament on most layers. As this printer has a "mixing" head, that means for every two layers, you'll have to:

            • print with the first filament type
            • move the print head to a "dump" area, and flush the head with the second filament type
            • print with the second filament type
            • step up to the next layer
            • print with the second filament type
            • move the print head to a "dump" area, and flush the head with the first filament type
            • print with the first filament type
            • step up to the next layer
            • and so on…

You'll be wasting some filament every time you flush the head.

The printer at my previous workplace had two separate heads, mounted on a rocker mechanism, so one head was printing and the other head was held maybe 2mm above the print surface. To print the second type of filament, the rocker mechanism was moved so the second head was at the correct level, and the first head was held high. The software also moved the head assembly sideways by ~50mm, as the two heads were ~50mm apart.

If you have two heads, you don't have to flush the "wrong" filament out of the head, so much less is wasted. I do recall that there was still a "dump" area, this was because the "high" head had the filament partially withdrawn so it didn't drip. The dump area was so the head could re-fill, and then the tiny bit of excess that came out of the nozzle was wiped off against a blade, leaving the head accurately filled and ready to print.

I can't remember the brand of the printer, but it was the size of a large refrigerator, and cost (from memory) about $25,000 about ten years ago.

  • By using the coupon code, does it become a sale item and void your 30 day retruns?
Also are they shipped from AU? And are returns local?

    • Hi AkiG, it is shipped from AU warehouse and still under our after-sale warranty.

      • Thanks, what about change of mind returns (unopened)

        • Hi AkiG, it can be returned to AU warehouse, but customer need to pay the postage to ship it for return if there is no problem for the machine.

  • Looks interesting. Anyone found a good review?

    • +3

The logistics is very fast, I will recommend more people to come to this store to buy

Seems like a legit review. lol

  • I would stay f far away from these cheap printers with all-in-one features.
You would be better served with an Ender3-V2, I had one before for 6 months or so before jumping to a Prusa MK3S+
I upgraded for personal reasons but we are talking about a $300 and a $1.2k printer

That Zonestar display is a copy/paste from Ender3 but a much thinner body.
The whole thing looks cheap asf

I don't know man, your money. You can get Ender3-V2 for $330, lightning within 2h: https://www.amazon.com/Official-Motherboard-Carborundum-220x…
Or you can get Ender3 first model for $260
