What makeup empties am I able to recycle?
Great news! We accept all brands of makeup, not just products we stock however there are some products that can’t be recycled: Nail polish, makeup brushes, wooden makeup pencils, perfumes, aerosols and makeup products that are not empty.
Do my products need to be empty before I recycle them?
We know that cleaning out makeup takes effort (ever tried cleaning out a mascara tube?!) so we’re happy to accept old make-up that might have a little residue product left inside. Please try your best to ensure makeup containers are as empty as possible, to help with the cleaning and recycling process.
What happens once I recycle my products
Once stores have sent the makeup containers to our recycling partner Terracycle, the empties are separated by polymer type, cleaned and then extruded into plastic pellets to make new recycled products. To find out more about the recycling process visit the Terracycle website.
Does this stop my empties from going to landfill?
Yes! The Terracycle program uses the materials from your empties and turns them into new products - meaning less waste in landfill. To learn more about the process, visit the Terracycle website.
Is this available at my nearest/all Priceline stores?
Yes! All Priceline Pharmacy and Priceline stores will have a recycle bin. Help us go greener!
Can I recycle products that still have product in them?
All products should be empty (as empty as they can be). We know it is hard to make sure foundations and mascara tubes are completely empty, but if they’re as close as possible that is great!
