    What's next? Pineapple on pizza??

    • -2

      Thats already old! Think bananas.

      • +2

Actually bananas with savoury can be quite good.

        • +10

So can pineapple, like on a pizza or something.

    • +6

Congratulations, San Francisco Australia, you've ruined pizza! first it was the Hawaiians, now you!

      • +10

Hawaiian pizza was actually invented in Canada

        • +13

Makes sense. If I invented Pineapple on pizza, I would also try blaming someone else.

      • Preaching to the choir are we?

What do you not like about it? The combination of items goes really well. The only thing that can ruin a Hawaiian pizza is too much sauce.

        • Some people just don't like the taste or texture of a juicy, sweet fruit on a pizza. I think they're ok on pizza, though I would much rather have a classic one like mushroom or pepperoni.

    • +3

OMG! That's it! Cheesy Vegemite on a pineapple slice base!

    • Grapes on pizza.

  • +4

    goes well with tomato sauce

    • +1

It's a really great combo, with the sauce and the cheese.

  • +14

    🤮

  • +15

    NOOOOOOOO

    • +1

First chocolate. Now pizza. When will it stop?

      • Wait. Wait .. waaahT! Chocolate!

        • +7

Yeah, Cadbudy did a Vegemite chocolate. It had a liquid centre. It was weird.

        • +7

          waaahT! Chocolate!

          It was awesome…

          Better than salted caramel…

        • Wait what? Max brenner has had chocolate pizzas for 30 or so years

          • @UberIsCool: Chocolate with vegemite. Now pizza with vegemite.

            • +1

              @xoom: Yuk

              • @UberIsCool: My work colleague bought some in the office before and we got to try it. It sure was weird.

  • +23

its a fine line between too much vegemite, and not enough vegemite

    • +8

blasphemy! no such thing as too much vegemite

      • +3

when it starts to burn the roof of your mouth, you're in the too much territory

        • +2

fair enough. in my family, "just right" varies massively for each of us. from a teeny weeny tip of a knife to slapping on a huge amount. i can see >50% of people feeling it's not the right amount.

        • Burn the roof of your mouth? From Vegemite?

        • Nope. Just means you take smaller bites..

      • +1

Hahha I was actually thinking this will be crap because they will only put a thin layer. I nice thick layer and it sounds delicious!

    • Vegemite is very decisive. Either you love it or absolutely hate it.

    • They seemed to have nailed it

  • +46

$7.95 is a rip off. It should be $5

    • +20

Agree, It's just Vegemite and cheese. Should be $5 to be in line with their value range pizzas. The extra $2.95 is probably to pay Bega to use Vegemite and it's branding

      • +3

you seen how much vegemite costs these days?

        I'm surprised its not $10

        • +4

It's nothing to do with the cost of the actual Vegemite product. It would be part of the agreement between Bega and Domino's to use the Vegemite brand in their pizza and as a marketing strategy. Domino's then would have to pay a commission back to Bega. Might be a 50/50 share of profits with this promotion? who knows.

    • +7

Should be $4 for the amount of cheese they use…

      • +5

Nobody is stopping you from oiling a pan, getting all the ingredients for dough, mixing it, cutting it, sheeting/flattening it out, putting it in a pan, proofing it for 24 hours, buying all the ingredients, making it, cooking it, cutting it and eating it yourself

        • I usually do Italian bread dough. Greek yogurt dough also works though

        • +1

I make these constantly for my kids. But it consists of two pieces of white bread, stone Vegemite and a slice of cheese. They'll eat them hand over first every day.

      • +2

yeah it's ridiculous how tight they are with the tinsy teeeny weeny light sprinkling of cheese. The base is barely cooked so it's all gummy and appears to be cheesy, but no it's definitely not enough cheese, so bloody tight!!

    • Dimov is to close to dominos, you gota go bro.

    • Dominos may not be the pizza, but is never made me vomit lmao

  • +3

This would be good on the thin and crispy base

    • +2

my thoughts exactly. actually true with most Domino's pizzas. find them quite bad on reg base but awesome on thin n crispy

  • +15

yum. can't believe so few are excited about this. have to agree it should be a $5 value pizza though

    • Yep… I cannot wait to try it personally!

  • +4

Yum, if these are as good as cheezymite scrolls from BD. But $7.95 i think is too much, should be more like $4.95

  • +8

Just finished one off. Its really good if you like vegemite and works out better value than buying bakers delight vegemite scrolls (if u eat multiple)

    • +1

Do they put heaps of Vegemite on or just a smidge?

      • +5

Was just the right amount. Quite generous at the store near me. Was quite nice where it was a fraction burnt near the crust too. The store near me seems to have changed management. All the staff have changed and the quality has really improved.

    • +4

THIS is the important "man on the ground" information we require :) Thanks. Also now I'm hungry.

      • +1

All I want to know now is how it compares to a $5 Domino's cheese pizza with vegemite squeezy on top.

        • +4

not sure if revolutionary or madman
in either case im totally trying that now

  • -1

    Vegemite 🤮

    • -1

Name Checks out. Once you vomit it up you can also eat later 😂👍

  • +1

They must have seen this post

  • +2

did they get the idea from the brooklyn dude

    https://www.dailymail.co.uk/femail/article-10058923/New-York…

  • Reminds me of the Anger guy from Inside Out.

Congratulations, Dominos, you've ruined pizza! First it was the Hawaiians, now YOU!

  • +2

This would be a capital crime in Italy, lol.

  • +1

This needs 50% voucher on top of $7.95.

  • +5

Yummo! As others have said, too expensive at this price though. I would pay $5 for it, but may not pay 7.95. I might once just to try it though.

    • +1

2 cheesymite scrolls from bakers delight (each scroll probably equivalent of 1 slice each, and stone cold) will set you back almost as much

      • Good point…

      • +1

Bakers Delight is over priced, just as this pizza is.

  • They trying to tell us that we're salty?

  • Rather just get a cheese pizza for $5.

  • Tyramine overload. Best avoided if you’re taking an MAOI

  • This is going to be a amazing. Like marinating lamb chops or Vegemite chocolate.

  • STRUTH now that's a pizza

  • +1

$7.95 cause you never get the rest of the Vegemite out of those squeeze containers without ripping the lid off and getting a knife in there…

  • New product

OzNewProduct. Why do people struggle to understand the difference between a bargain post and something that belongs in the forums?

Really is beyond a joke at this point. Wish the mods would start stepping in.

    • +10

Please call the cyber police and have them issue a warrant for my arrest.

      • -6

Don't you have an Facebook account you could have shared this to? Or Reddit? Or Twitter?

There are countless other places you could have shared this too.

But no, you posted it as a "bargain".

Is it too hard to signup for an appropriate website so you just decided to dump it here?

Seriously, what is your logic for posting this here?

        • +4

mate you're right, but going after the person too strongly here. something to take up with mods. 36+ votes and growing suggests a lot of people found value in this.

          • -2

            @quasi:

suggests a lot of people found value in this

No it suggests OzBargain is now flooded with people who treat it like Reddit instead of a place to actually post bargains.

            • @PainToad: actually can't argue with that. i don't use facebook or just about any other online forum & have very strong ad filters, image blackers etc on everything i use. ozb is one of the few sites i go to & that is actually exactly how i'm using ozb. not as intended. works for me but can see how it's frustrating for the purists.

        • Seriously, what is your logic for posting this here?

80 comments and enough popularity to push it to the front page. It sounds like the community loved it.

Wish the mods would start stepping in.

In life, we all wish for things.

          • -1

            @watwatwat:

80 comments and enough popularity to push it to the front page. It sounds like the community loved it.

So you didn't post it on the forum where it belonged because it wouldn't of made it to the front page? So vanity was the reason?

            • @PainToad: That's usually the reason. People just want to big note themselves and get their post count up because that validates them somehow. Neg away inclusive haters!

              • @Champ888:

                because that validates them somehow

Says the person with 0 submissions.

If the site was full of people like you, the site would be an empty web page.

    • I thought twice about voting for this post since I think it's overpriced, but figured it's a great deal for me because I love vegemite and prob wouldn't have known about it for a few weeks if it weren't for the post.
technically you're right but I can see how some of these are a balancing act for mods

      • +1

prob wouldn't have known about it for a few weeks if it weren't for the post.

Ozbargain's purpose isn't (well, shouldn't) be to notify you of new full priced menu items at takeaway stores. I saw this morning on Facebook and thought "oh, interesting". Not once did I think "oh, I need to post this on Ozbargain because it's not a bargain".

    • -1

You are 400 million percent correct.

      Ozbargain is dying.

      • +2

        Ozbargain is dying.

It really doesn't seem to be heading in the right direction.

The path mods are heading seems to be "more content = more clicks = more ads" so don't do any moderation.

But I think the lack of quality standards of things being posted will eventually backfire as people get sick of trawling through crap to find actual real bargain posts.
