Because it is the only few shop that open at 12am.
Because you can actually shop in person??? Online is good for something, but not everything.

Not as much as Target for my personal experience.
Tick the box that says you're happy for them to deliver items that are out of stock in store. I use this for things that are 'Low stock', to get free postage.
Never missed out on an item.

Kmart in Vic is still just as busy even in lockdown, you just have dozens of people lining up for click n collect instead of wandering aimlessly in the store
Its free overnight accomodation.
Why did they move the checkouts to the middle of the store which just congests to hell..

Once I've queued up for 45mins for my 1 pack of socks, I aint going back.
My wife and I have walked out of Kmart so many times because we only had 2-3 items and 40 people lined up.
After you've already paid so it's a dumb move from KMart.

do you notice in some store they have this large round 'Pay Here' but the checkout is actually a little further not below it?

going to K-mart to buy that $29 kettle at midnight is ludicrous. what goes through these people's head is beyond fathomable.
i'm even curious whether kmart checked the vaccination status of people entering the store and and checked ID to match while they are at it.
Likely it's someone who's been munchin on goey all night and suddenly NEEDS to vacume at 2am so they run to Kmart and buy one.
Because house prices are so high, Kmart pricing is all one can afford to fill it…
It's incredibly cheap and a lot of their stuff is reasonable quality.

It's cheap entertainment. Buying things releases endomorphins, the Ozbargain community should be familiar with this. And there's no beach or much else deep in Kmart territory.
I hate kmart. Whatever the day, it has longer slower queues than target or anything else.

it's mostly cheap low quality stuff, the barely more than reject shop rubbish.
