I am looking to buy an Apple iPhone XR 128GB.
With the release of the latest iPhones, will the XR likely come down in price, or should I just buy now while stocks last because I understand Apple is no longer making the XR model.

My current phone is an 8 so way past its use by date. I don't need a phone with a fancy camera, just plenty of storage and big screen so the XR ticks the boxes. I feel the 11 is overpriced.
The iPhone XR is only one generation newer than an iPhone 8.
iPhone 8 came out Sept 2017 (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/IPhone_8), iPhone XR in Sept 2018 (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/IPhone_XR).
If you think an iPhone 8 is 'way past its use by date', then you should think about whether you need to make a bigger jump than one year newer model.

That's pretty pathetic if you consider AU$1,079 (lowest storage option) for a phone that you say has expired after less than 4 years.
Well I guess it is past MY use by date. The family is getting bigger and my 64 GB iPhone 8 no longer cuts it. I want a phone with a bigger screen and more storage. I won't buy an android, that's why I decided to look at the XR.

What does your family have to do with your phone?
Buying $APPL shares due to this post.
@deme: Apps installed for the kids, photos, videos. Storage is used up pretty quickly.
I’ve been tracking XR’s for the last few months.
It would appear stocks are tightening based on availability from OW.
I’ve noticed in recent years major iPhone clearance pricing has come from Telstra, Big W and Aus Post.
If the above stores no longer have listings for the XR, I’d suggest the chances of buying new at less then the $597 price point for the 64gb model at OW are slim.
My 2 cents
How desperately do you need a new phone? If you really need a new one, buy it now to avoid the chance of it being OOS in the future. Apple products generally hold their value quite well, so I wouldn't expect a huge price drop when the next iPhone comes out (a year from now).
For around $600 or more, I reckon it’s not worth that price. There has been a few sales in the past few months for 12 series. BF and CM are coming as well. You better wait.
Sponsor a phone recycling chute. Won't be long you have a house full. Camera evolution is not going to stop anytime soon. I have an Iphone 6 that outlasted the Samsung Galaxy 6. It still can be used and its charger is the smallest of my rather large collection. I am puzzled as to why you need 128GB with something of camera and radio being a bit eco. Guess you have a need. Large screen phones being decomissioned are going to be a load on the environment in the long run.
Do you need new? The refurbs on eBay offer pretty good prices, and they come with warranties and money back guarantees. Got an XS for ~$450 earlier in the year.
Can you please recommend a reputable seller on eBay?

Is there a reason why you want to buy the xr over other models?
