Is that good or bad
Bad.
Stitched soles can usually be replaced when they wear out, and the fact that the shoe is designed that way usually tells you that it’s meant to last for years of use. On the other hand, ones with glued soles can be designed for greater comfort and use more sophisticated materials. I’d happily buy boots like this for my semi-annual hike through the flatter portions of the Botanic Gardens.
Acceptable at $80, unforgivable at $200+
Looks like a Goodyear welt to me, the upper is stitched to the welt, and the welt is attached to the sole.
Welted shoes are more expensive to manufacture than those mass-produced by automated machinery with molded soles.
Perhaps the commenter was mistaken and the gluing description referred to the welt being glued to the sole.
"Combat" boot?
Perfect for when in a battle for the window seat at your local cafe, while waiting for your double mocha skim flat extra shot soy whatevs, and smashed avo on toast.
You'll pay $25 for that, so why not $250 for these "combat boots".Junk in every sense of the word.
Definitely not ASOD compliant lol.
What wars are these good for? Cyber warfare?
Do you think bomber jackets can only be worn inside B-52?
No, it's for social justice warriors to "march" into parliament for battle
TSave yourself some money in the long run and get the real thing; Red Wings Boot
How are these for doing roundhouse kicks in?
"Style over substance and made to a price as the upper is glued to the sole, not stitched."
