I personally don't really like the Bose app, there's more features with the Sony app. Both sound and feel pretty good tho.
Sony has the edge IMO. If you can deal with the touch pad controls the switchable ambient sound feature is brilliant.
Sony’s mic is terrible. I returned my ones because I thought they were faulty but it turns out that’s how they are. The Bose 45s have a much better mic (Bose 700s too)
Sound is better on Sony’s, but I find NC better on the Bose’s.
Price is creeping up. These were ~$300 a few months ago.
Hard to tell currently. Could just be this seller charging more, or due to inflation (shipping, supply chain disaster, component shortages).

Anecdotal - A friend of my went through 3 of these at launch and each one of them had balancing issues. Noticed it myself when I tried one of them. Ended up returning them all.
