I am looking for a motorhome for my family of four to travel around the state for two weeks in - any recommendations for companies to rent them from, what to look for etc? Thanks!

NSW - budget would be $7k top limit but of course the lower the better.
isn't Sydney in lockdown and travel restricted?
It is as of today yes, I doubt it will be that way in 3 or 4 months time when I'm planning this adventure. Good point to ask about COVID based refunds though.
Depends on how NSW goes with halting ppl who gather en masse without social distancing, masks and covid jabs? and if media reports are true actually cough on others to be ass*oles
I wish all ppl in Vic and NSW covid free, safe times but it's not looking really great with so many new cases seen everyday

I used privatecaravanhire.com.au a few years ago for a 6berth motorhome. Price was excellent - I think around $1600/week for 7 weeks - came fully equipped (genny, chainsaw, hoses, outdoor furniture, everything we needed, even a small car in tow which was a fantastic addition to get around when we parked somewhere we wanted to stay for a few days), the owners gave great advice and remained available for questions while we got used to it on the road. I think the experience depends greatly who you land on - we were pretty lucky.
Probably our favourite holiday ever - just bludging every day and living like dirty hippies. Loved it.
