It's fun, but not as fun as Monopoly Deal Cards game.

    • Almost made that mistake.
      Monopoly Deal is brilliant fun.

      $5 delivered?

      • Obviously not, but may be an option for some.

    • That's Monopoly "Deal" which apparently is better according to comments above.

We've been playing this a lot. It's a good game, but flawed. Here are two house rules that make it better:

    1) There are a lot of "action cards" that let a player draw two more cards. Sometimes this results in them drawing another of those cards, so they draw two more, and two more, and two more, and basically win the game on the spot. I'd recommend a house rule that forbids playing more than one of those per turn.

    2) The other thing is that it tends to be a lot better to steal cards than buy them. We fixed that by ruling that when a card is auctioned, players who already have a card of that colour get a $2 bonus in their bids for each card of that type. E.g., if you have 2 blue cards and are bidding on the third of that set then your bid of $1 beats anybody's bid of $4 or lower. You can adjust that figure - we started with a bonus of $4 but found it unbalanced the game in the opposite direction.
