Just 47.5 cents a pop almost as cheap as they were in the '90s.

Not this cheap since April
Anyone ever seen the Streets Paddle Pop 1L tubs go on sale for 1/2 price?
I was tossing up buying this or Sara Lee Strawberries & Cream from Coles later this week as they're both half price. But comparing Paddle Pop Rainbow to Sara Lee Strawberries & Cream, Paddle Pop Rainbow is almost half the kilojoules?! 553kJ vs 950kJ, 2.9g vs 12.8g total fat, and 17.2g vs 24.1g sugar for per 100mL.
I'm guessing it's because Paddle Pops were made for kids so the manufacturers were more health conscious about their products.
Have to be careful comparing ice cream by volume. A lot of the cheaper ice creams are pumped with air to increase volume so will appear to have less sugar and less all ingredients generally because there's more air. So a 1L tub of Sara Lee might have more ice cream than a 4L tub of Rainbow Paddle Pop.
Paddle pops are an "ICE CONFECTION" - they're like more like an sugary icypole made out of low fat milk. Sara lee is proper ice cream with 22% cream.
almost as cheap as they were in the '90s
But nowhere near as big as they were in the '90s
I can't tell if it's because the paddle pops got smaller or because my hands got bigger.
I can't tell if the paddle pops are thinner or if I'm just fatter
Caramel was the best - but sadly no longer available.
Rainbow is caramel flavour just with colour.
The Jubilee Paddlepop was the king of all Paddlepops…
Why did they change the colours in rainbow? What happened to the fun red and bright blue unnatural colours?
Bought a rainbow paddlepop a while ago and it was nothing like they used to be, so disappointing
Banana Paddle Pop must be my all time favourite
Prefer home ice-cream paddle pops
Oh wow, I haven’t seen them on special for a while! (Ever 1/2 price). Ty!
