This "drama" feels like F2P players just crying they didn't get as much as they expected. Demanding gifts and review bombing are just equiv of a 5 year old throwing a tantrum, and probably a reflection of the age of the playerbase.
Communication on the other hand is definitely poor, especially around the recently releases of Yomiya, Raiden and Kokomi, all of which have thier own issues. Not addressing possible balance issues and just continuing with updates is a bad precedent, but unless people literally stop rolling, I don't think anything will happen.
I'm so surprised but I'm using Yoimiya as my main DPS now. Never liked the character at the beginning. Although I say that guy Tony To build her using crimson to get the million plus damage with her

Started playing the game 2 weeks ago. Any tips or tricks?
Got kokomi yesterday, pretty happy about itPretty lucky to get a new 5*. Shes useful now as a healer since your team will be weak and will allow you to fight the weakly bosses easier. Try get her to 90/90 as fast as possible. Pick one more 4* character, maybe Bennet or Xingqiu and get them to 90/90 ASAP. Focus on 2 characters to get super strong fast. Get talents to 8 and the appropriate artifacts. Plenty of those guides on youtube. Artifacts aim for level 14 minimum. Get rid of anything with def as main stat. Weapons you will have to see what u got. Anything 4* or 5* level one for each character. Again get to 90 asap. Follow the crystal ore farming routes and do those every few days as well the the daily ore.. Don't level up other characters yet until you get 2 really strong. Do the srtifact farming routes too. Make sure you mark everything off the interactive map. Will save you hours of looking for things next time. Daily check in on the website too. Have a look at videos on youtube from Tectone, Tenha, Zy0x for beginner guides. Really good
This is pretty bad advice for a new player.
90/90 is worthless, as those extra 10 levels add very little, and costs an absolutely fortune in books and mora. They are much better off getting their main DPS to around 80, with subDPS to about 70 and supports to at least 60. This will improve the team much more than those 10 levels.
Regarding team composition, it depends on what characters you have access to etc. If you are mostly F2P, your best bet for a decent Spiral Abyss DPS is Xiangling, who becomes available when you complete Spiral Abyss Floor 3, which you should be able to do in another few weeks.
Don't bother with artifact farming until you are much deeper in the game, get some basic artifacts with the right main stats, and hopefully one or two good substats, but don't go crazy until you have the team approppriately leveled in talents and weapons first.
I dunno. I started exactly how you said and I struggled with the ascension material bosses and weekly bosses for ages. Levelled up too many characters at once. My mate did the opposite. Focused on 2 and 90'd them and their weapons and had then worked on the remaining 2 and he was smashing though the bosses much faster. In the end he was helping me in coop. I guess main thing would be focus on dps and sub dps and try and stick with them as tempting as it is to keep trying the new characters you may get.

I’m at AR44 now. Have sucrose C1 and kokomi at lvl 80, and Ningguang C3 at lvl70 with all their weapons at lvl 80.One aspect I’m really struggling is that I don’t have a main dps at all. Currently Sucrose is acting as one, using elemental reactions with Guoba or Kokomi’s jellyfish. It’s all good and well against hillichurls but when it comes to boss fight I’m barely scratching them, but I won’t die either with kokomi?! So frustrating
I just finished the Inazuma’s archon quest and is absolutely in love with Raiden. Why did I get kokomi instead. Literally got her 5 pulls after raiden’s banner was finished.
I’m actually wanting to buy an account with Raiden and it seems pretty cheap on PlayerAuctions (~AR10) for $20. I will need to do some research on the legitimacy on the site. Please talk some sense into me!!!
Dont buy any account! Do what one of the other players on here mentioned and use a VPN set to US and then go to the top up centre. Worth while shelling out for battle pass. Cheap enough and will really help you level up.

Do you have Bennet or Xingqiu yet? Probably worth while building up Electro traveller if you don't have any other good sword users yet.
What ever your main weapons are you need to get them to 90. If Kokomi is your only 5* then get her to 90 as well.
Have you maxed the statues of 7 yet? This is a must too
@Sammyboy: I have no trouble leveling up my characters. I want to buy an account purely for raiden. I’m guessing if they do decide to have her banner rerun it’d be at least 6 months away. My biggest regret would be not buying an account with her when I first commented on this thread. I’ve watched YouTube videos and Kokomi is literally the worst 5 star in the games history and is pretty much Barbara 2.0, a 4 star free character!
I have 10k primogems saved up but I have 0 interest in the upcoming banners. I know hu Tao would be perfect for my team but I just don’t want her, albedo or the other new characters.
My geo and anemo statuses are maxed out. I did put a lot of time and effort into the game in the past month but i think it’s crazy that I’m willing to start new for raiden. I played on friends account and she’s so fun!

This was my plan too lmao since it seems like the best way to get the character you want without having to pay god knows how much. I've also seen AR50+ accounts going for ~$20 with multiple 5 star characters.
@Prince K: Don’t quote me on the exact numbers lol as it was a while ago but it wasn’t too far off. I was looking at epicnpc. They do vary a fair bit though. Let me know if you do get one from there.
@ChillBro: I guess $20 is worth a shot. What you could have done was start multiple accounts when the banner was on and kept rerolling until you got a good 5*. The secondary account comes in handy if you don't play it, when they do the events to invite someone to start playing again who hasn't logged-in in over 30 days.
@Sammyboy: Fair enough but that's a bit of effort and even if I do get a 5 star or hell, even 2 5 stars on a new account, I'm not sure I want to play through the story all again.

Well I heard Ganyu, Xiao and Hutao were the top 3 DPS and since the Hu Tao banner is coming up, I got an account with the first two.

Playing this account makes me laugh because there's absolute no frickin' way I'll have ever reached this level on my original garbage account and all it took was a few bucks.
Actually do a spreadsheet so you know on what day is what for your characters and weapons you pick. Once you start getting to levelling up 4 or more it gets damn confusing at the beginning. A spreadsheet makes it so much easier to see what needs to be levelled up.

I don’t understand why people bothered the debate on anniversary. Sure I also felt a bit disappointment about mihoyo not prepare any official anniversary event. I did like the community artworks, diverse and talented. I play this game for its gameplay, characters, maps and music. The drama of rating dropped to 1.9 only occurred on google play store and majority of 1 star was left by bots. Dramas come and go. Don’t let those control your own feeling and thinking
I'm actually not that fussed about the anniversary stuff. It would have been nice to seem show some appreciation to the whales and main twitch streamers of the game. Their silence was also pretty disrespectful. I think that may be the business culture there though. Correct me if I'm wrong.
I'm just generally getting quite disappointed with the story lines. The Kokomi story was like a visual novel aimed at primary school kids and the Keqing/Xiangling cooking comp was pretty boring and I dozed off a few times playing it lol I feel that they are adding a lot of filler with the mini games and side stories just to drag it out, rather than focusing on the story line itself which seems to get forgotten every now and then.
Inazuma and the Raiden story line was very good though. The most interesting since Liyue. I'll keep playing it until they finish. Stocked up on some google play cards and will use with self control lol. Will probably pull for C0 (and no higher) for most characters unless they are that crap. Probably R0 for weapons too. I'll skip Thoma as only a 4* and already have Tartaglia and HuTao at the constellations I need. Thoma will appear in other banner pulls for sure too.
All good here. I am relatively new to the game (started maybe three months ago) but I am constantly amazed at how this is free to play. I think people who have played since the start might have lost some perspective. When your look at just how much story and gameplay content there is, and how polished it is, it’s insane. I have only recently purchased my second battle pass, because I have gotten far more gameplay out of this ‘free’ game than I would have paying for most retail games. And I wanted to pay more out of appreciation to the developers than anything else. I am still saving money as far as I am concerned. The pay to win is also very light.
My only five stars are Keqing and Kokomi, but it’s hard not to want to play all of the characters TBH. I’d love to play more with Sayu, Beidou and Rosaria, just gotta get them up a bit more and stress less about ‘maximising’. Sure it would be nice to pull more wishes but that’s part of that gotta catch em all in me. The anniversary drama was a storm in a teacup in my opinion.
The current content is pretty good. Not sure about how they threw in Xinyan into the story line into Labyrinth Warriors but its pretty challenging especially if not using a shield or healing character.
I ran the first three trials with Keqing Xiangling Diona and Kokomi. No issues getting through. The free Xinyan plus the Taishou pet was worth it. Only need to really do the first three trials as well, I can’t see much point doing the last two.

Finding Shadow of Ancients a bit hard to achieve spikes greater than 50% and complete challenge without self repair. Finding this as challenging as Spiral Abyss!

Lmao there's no comparison, Abyss floor 12 is practically impossible if you don't have the right characters.
As for the event, you simply have to shoot the big ruin dude's weak spots (legs and then head) then it'll be staggered.
I can get him down but then he regenerates so I keep missing the achievement. And the spikes for some reason always end up with one less than 50% 😵. I keep missing on the final star in floor 12 by 1 or 2 seconds. So annoyed
If the spikes are charged at all times he shouldn't regenerate. From the 3 runs I've done to do all the challenges, the dude hammers one particular spike for like 51% damage at the start so unless you stagger him then, then it's lost.
If you have cryo, use a freeze team. Just keep him frozen and you never have to worry. It also seems to bypass some spawns that attack the spikes.
Lol the trick is to just stagger him. Hit his legs orbs out, then aim for his head orb. Don't try to kill him. Then just focus on keeping spikes charged. Fischl/Sara are best for this as you don't have to run up to the spikes.
How did you all find the 2.3? Seems like will be quite good. Probably pull for the 2 new characters just for OCD sake lol

What does everyone's wish history look like? Found this site via reddit and it's a great way to visualise your past pulls.
This shows that only 3 (of the 9 total) 5 star character pulls were summoned before 90 pulls (at which it's guaranteed).No giving of log in details required?? I wonder how safe this is… I've been recording it all in excel manually since day one. Definitely caught them out on freedom sworn banner (was as bad as Tectones Staff of Homa pulls) but what can you do really esp once logs are deleted. I complained and got some generic reply.

On PC, it seems every time you go to the wish history page, it loads (downloads?) a temporary log file containing all that information. All 3 methods there seem to use that one file.

Those all seem like pretty standard information. Really don't know how they can access your account with that in game data but sure, it's up to you.

Mobile is shite. With the current new area its quite jerky too (using Samsung S21 Ultra). I use mobile only when Im out and need to do dailies.
It becomes much easier if you have a 5* team and weapons and can just mash the buttons without having to aim specifically and everything dies is seconds lolIs there anything that you turn off to prevent the camera from facing the wrong direction? I keep reading about turning the combat camera off - does that work ?
Thoughts on the anniversary disaster and 2.2 update?
I have a feeling they would have lost a number of players (esp F2P and small spenders) after the anniversary debacle. I have spent a little too much (in google play giftcards lol) and time to just quit.
2.2 looks a bit average too. More of a teapot update (which has become a check in for 1minute to claim upgrade materials for me).
Really feels at this point they are just stretching it out with mindless stories and minigames to milk it as much as they can.
