  • Do you allow cron jobs every 5 minutes?

    • Hi,

This should be fine depending on what commands you're running. Feel free to PM first if you'd like to confirm.

      Cheers.

  • Looks like a really good deal for a nonprofit charity I support, question though - what do you mean by "150 Maximum Hourly Emails"? Why are emails limited like this? I've never seen this before on any hosting. Is it sending or receiving or both? What happens if it's exceeded? Is it a restriction that can be removed?

    • Hi,

I'm sure most providers would have this limit somewhere (Maybe not publicly advertised). It's sending emails only, you can receive as many emails as you'd like.

It's to prevent malicious outbound spam. If it's exceeded then mail will be queued for the next hour - If you anticipate sending more than 150 (e.g. a newsletter) then you're very welcome to contact our support and we will adjust the value for you.

      Thanks!

  • Would the code work on reseller packs?

    • Hi,

I've just enabled it for the reseller plans too :)

  • 50% off lifetime… in future (eg. 2 years later) does that apply when upgrading or downgrading your plan? Do you still get the 50% off?

    • +1

Yes, still valid. If it doesn't do it automatically then submit a ticket and we can override it for you.

  • Hi @Obble, i just signed up to a shared hosting plan. Paid by credit card on sign up and account says $ still due. Is it because transaction is still pending? Also, looks like my credit card has been charged twice?

    • Hi,

I can see this, these were two pre-authorisations which sometimes happens with stripe annoyingly.

I’ve cancelled one and processed the other, your service is active now. Thanks!

  • I have a 5 or 6 wordpress websites on dreamhost.
How difficult would it be to migrate these?

    • +1

      Hi,

On any annual plan we can migrate for you if cPanel to cPanel transfer.

It’s quite easy and we do most of the work, just send us the cPanel details of your old host after ordering and we will migrate all data.

      Usually doesn’t take too long.

      • Unfortunately Dreamhost uses a proprietary panel. Is there any other way to do a bulk migration?

        • +1

Not that I’m aware of for bulk migrations, we do have some guides on Wordpress to Wordpress transfers using backup plugins which is fairly quick, but obviously will take longer with more unique sites.

Alternatively you could try just backing up all the data and moving over, then manually doing the databases and adjusting your Wordpress settings (or config files) but this can cause some issues after migration if not familiar with the process.

Unfortunately we only provide the cPanel to cPanel migrations as the others become quite time consuming. But do let us know if you have any other questions or ideas either here or via PM and we can try figure something out.

        • +1

I've had great success using Duplicator for Wordpress migrations across incompatible control panels: https://wordpress.org/plugins/duplicator/

  • I'm currently with obble, but would like this deal for a 15gb ssd website. Anyway to switch?

    • Hi,

We can transfer you over if you'd like, once your service lapses with Obble.

Depending on comparability of plans we can move over the time remaining with Obble too. Best to open a ticket though so we can organise this further, cheers.

      • Thanks. In terms of adding domains… Do we choose subdomains or domains in cpanel?

        • Addon Domains will allow you to add your own unique domains to the hosting account (Essentially a seperate site).

Subdomains are attached to the main domain. So likely Addon domains is what you are after.
