Current Hoverboard Recommendations for 11 Year Old

Hi all

Looking to get our son a hoverboard for Xmas and was wondering whether anyone has any pointers for models that are reliable but not over the top in terms of price.

Understand different specs are a trade off but in terms of best bang for buck without all the bells and whistles, (thinking Bluetooth and the like as he doesn't need any of that sort of stuff), any hints.

Key feature I reckon is the range or time between charge…… Oh and ones that don't catch fire anymore😎

Any info would be great.

    I believe there was some good 'in the field' testing done and video recorded a few years ago.
    Maybe google 'back to the future hoverboard'. :)

      I only saw the skateboard version, the later stuff was just way to out there and far fetched.

      I reckon Saturday night posting is not the way to go, the singing syrup has probably been in full flow for a while.

    I hear the eneloops brand of hoverboard is good.
