  • Deals Direct has plenty of no-name generic tablets. They are fairly old stock though, meaning that many of them still run the older Android 2.3 Gingerbread and not ICS like the newer Ainol series of tabs.

  • just get one direct from china if you really want to. i would guess most deal places will just drop ship from there anyways.

personally, i think you better off sticking to one of the more well known brands.

  • There's an Asian guy working in the local Dick Smith, if that helps - but I haven't asked… does the Android tablet seller have to be Chinese?

    • I think he's looking for a generic / chinese branded tablet, not for a Chinese dude to sell one to him!

The tablet that I recommend right now is the MSI Windpad 7" — if you don't mind the lack of GPS, and you're confident enough to flash the firmware on the device, it makes for a pretty good (and safe) alternative to a generic tablet.

Asides from that, you get free shipping and BigW warranty, which is a big plus.

        LOL! hahaha

  • i dont understand why you need a chinese one. All android systems support chinese fonts and input. My one year old galaxy tab can also display chinese and you can change all icons into chinese. Just go to settings.

You can even change the voice input to hongkong cantonese, mandarin chinese.

As i know, it does not support some middle east languages but who cares.

I think OP means he just wants a cheap tablet, and the chinese ones are the cheapest.

  • I have mine given as a gift during Chinese New Year in China.
I haven't used much at all as I have an ipad and a kindle.
I want to sell it for $50.
the only problem is that I left the box and manual in China. Although it came with a pouch and I brought that over. I live in brisbane too so come have a look if you are interested.
