My current sub doesn't expire till March 2022

If I activate this, will it stack?

    • +3

would love to know this as well, does it stack? If it doesnt, when will the key expired ?

    • When I've got them they don't start until you enter the activation code in the app. Just let your current one expire then use this one.

      • yeh, is there an expiry date to activate if I buy now? I'm thinking like will it be like sim cards where we have to activate before a certain date?

        • mine doesn't expire until April next year. Interested to know if I can stack this now or if I can wait until the current one expires?

    • +2

      No it doesn't stack.

As soon as you change your product key you forego the old one. It will be one year from the day you activate.

    Highly recommended!!

Am using this product…have been for about 15 months…was so impressed I bought a continuing subscription and renewed…better than most, even if I do visit some dubious Ruski and Ukrainian websites…

  • +2

Although someone might have already asked. Does it have an expiry date to activate it? Thanks.

  • +1

Thanks OP, even cheaper than Saveonit.

Won't need it until next year but good to have to extend expiry date then.

  • Thanks

I have found Malwarebytes to be better than this. Anyone finds Malwarebytes better ?

    • +3

Malwarebytes isn't antivirus. It's anti malware. You generally use it with an antivirus app.

      • +1

please go through this link to get an understanding that it does everything that an antivirus does https://www.malwarebytes.com/lp/sem/en/sem2.html?gclid=Cj0KC…

        • +2

But it that comparision, it compares malware fighting abilities. But not virus fighting abilities.

          • @[Deactivated]: Viruses, Trojans, Worms are all Malware.

If you only want to fight viruses then you need to pay for VirusBytes.

            • @Hahuh: Technically, it’s still good to have both -
              https://blog.malwarebytes.com/101/2015/09/whats-the-differen…

              • @[Deactivated]: Yes. You usually have one product then second opinion scanners.

Also Malwarebytes can miss me with that "running 2 at a time". We didn't forget their abysmal update that wreaked havoc on computers. https://www.bleepingcomputer.com/news/microsoft/malwarebytes…

                • @Hahuh: That is true, nice to have an opinion scanner, but that would always be malware bytes for me. And I install it only if I suspect some weird behaviour with my computer. Usually most antivirus already does have most of the malware scanned. There is a reason why most software MNCs install a good antivirus over malware bytes. Never seen anyone relying on this alone. Maybe things have changed with this product, not sure. These never used to be an antivirus replacements.

    • -1

Malwarebytes is quick to find new malware but they are UNABLE to get ride of them let alone resolving the issue. I prefer to use it with something like Kaspersky, or just Kaspersky forget about Malwarebytes!!!

    • -2

No. Eset is the best. MALWAREBYTES is crap. Only for the amateur.

Giving away 2 * ESET anti-virus 1 year licenses, got from Harris Technology

    AUD4-W335-4HDX-XSH5-PKBU
    AUD4-W335-4AE3-3E6W-9FAN

    • Cool thanks!!

      • Stopped working haha

    • thanks pOOQOOr, used the bottom one.

    • Thanks

    • these keys won't work soon

    • thankyou

  • Good product, have been a happy user for years. Nod32 uses little cpu resources.

Really any better than windows defender? Or avast?

  • +2

    Antivirus are still a thing?

    • -1

      This was my first thought

      • -1

Yes. Scanning scam emails for virus.

      • It's a silly thought. Windows Defender? Nah doesn't exist I guess.

  • +11

On Windows 10, windows defender (+ common sense) is good enough. anti-viruses make the overall experience worse anyway (intrusion, making pc slow etc)

    • +1

Eset is light weight and works perfectly.

      • That may be true but my point still stands, Windows defender is enough

        • +5

Wait until you get a trojan and regret this post. Windows defender is not enough.

          • @CoreJava: I have been using windows 10 since it came out and use internet responsibly. I'll be fine

  • +4

I used to use the cracked version of nod32 it was so good i Paid for it been using it over 20yrs

    • yep i remember nod32 back in the day when symantec and mckafee were absolute bloatware, less so now.

Wish they could just sell nod32 on it's own for the same price but everyone wants these 'total' solutions now.

  • Just use avast and other free 6 months antivirus you see popping up here..?

    • Avast used to be a great streamlined / small footprint antivirus. Past 3 years it's changed a lot and it's quite heavy on compute resources for some reason. It could be that's it's more thorough now or just some settings that need's to be changed, but bugger me, it has slowed down my home office / gaming PC. I went back to Kaspersky and problem's with slow down's and general laggy feeling disappeared.

      • Interesting I wonder if bit defender is the same as well

      • I was just given the mother in laws laptop last week to look at because it was running really slow.
Granted it is an older one, but it seems the only thing changed was she was recommended avast and so forked out $99 for a subscription.
Uninstalled and all of a sudden her laptop was 'flying' again.

  • FML just bought 5D yesterday for $15. :(

  • +1

    This is cheap!

Anyone know when this needs to be activated by?

  • Thanks, OP received the code after 10 mins of purchase.

  • brought this and how to return it as it wasn't compatible with anything but win10.

  • will this get rid of flubot from my android phone

    • Yes Paula.

  • Thanks OP! Bought!

    • +1

      same here, thanks 2x

  • Avg is $20 for 10 keys 2 years

    • -1

Punching yourself is cheaper than buying avg. Don't hurt yourself, avg is crap.

    • Update: Dont't buy AVG…didnt know the parent company AVAST is selling personal data

  • How does this compare to bitdefender

    • This is a light on your RAM and unintrusive, if you dismiss the 1-2 notifications that pop up you never see anything again. Works persistently in the background, firewall works damn well on sites that try to download malicious stuff to your PC. It's the best, followed by Kaspersky. Once you get Eset though you won't ever look back. If there's no offer around come renewal time you will always find it for about $13 for 3PC at SaveonIT.

  • +3

Windows 10 security/antivirus is all you need these days, or you can couple it with an on-demand scanner such as Malwarebytes if you feel the need. Your computer will run much better without a 3rd party antivirus.

  • +4

License must be activated by 31-12-2021

    • Damn

  • Personally I like Sophos better.

    • Sophos Intercept X baby. Throw in an XGS and then you're swell.

  • Might be silly question. Sorry. Is this for phone or PC use. I need one for samsung phone. Thanks.

    • Multiplatform so you can use ESET Mobile Security & Antivirus on your phone.

      • Android phone.

        • Yes as per the OP. If people want to read that.

      • Thank you so much.

  • Seller says activate by the end of the year.

Allkeyshop displayed where to buy the lowest prices and this is not the lowest price

    • -1

      Really? I don't see a link.

      • -5

Type allkepshop on Google. God gave you 2 hands and 10 fingers

        • +2

If you're going to make claims you gotta back up your claims.

So I did your job for you and look what I found….. The 'cheapest' price is 3.28 euros or roughly $5.24 aussie dollars for a 1 device 6 month license. 3 Device 1 Year is 13.61 euros and 5 Devices 1 year is 16.10 euros.

Please show me where it's cheaper. I can't see it.

          • @Clear: Still waiting 🤣🤣🤣

  • Hey all, I don't know why this isn't more popular than ESET? BitDefender is better and it's free https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/651102

    • In your opinion.

      • Haha I'll clarify. It's better cause it's free. ESET doesn't take up much memory which makes it great. But Bitdefender just falls shy of it and because it's free it's better.

        • Ok so a free security will always be better than paid?

          • @Clear: Better in what sense? Did you clearly read my comment as your name suggest? Better in the sense that it's free and Bitdefender specs just falls shy. I'll repeat that again. Because of that, it's not that bad.

            • +1

@PeeDee: Ok so free means its better. Understood.

                • @PeeDee: I'll tell you what's better than both and certainly isn't free. EDR's.
