Was looking for this shifter and noticed JB has a $30 giftcard with purchase once you activate a trial of Norton. Not sure if they will check if you have activated it as the redemption page just asks for a Norton serial.

Will make this $29.

Note: i just redeemed the gift card and it was quite painful. so they wanted your payment details so they can auto charge you when the trial ends. you can't do the trial without handing over payment details. In this case I used paypal and immediately cancelled the auto payment from paypal afterwards.

you have to register the norton serial number you activated on the same PC with the same LAN IP address, if you try and do it from another machine that is different to where norton is installed the registration fails. Norton has really gone out of their way to force you to install their product. I used windows sandbox to do the install.

and now after submitting it will take 8 weeks to get your evoucher if they ever send it at all.

so just be aware of the tedious process just to get $30. i think the time i spent was worth more than $30.

    Put the trial into a virtual machine so the malware can't infect your computer.

      came here to post this lol. virtualbox is free, open source and easy to use, windows 10 iso can be obtained legitimately from microsoft website and used to install norton without activating and paying for windows.

        - VmPlayer

        You don't require a product key to install or use windows, as you said you can just download the ISO directly from Microsoft.
        Activation is only required if you wish to personalise, and even then there are ways around that.

      so i used windows sandbox to activate my trial, i have added in my experience on redeeming the gift card in my original post. If I knew it would be this difficult i would have not bothered.

        Took me less than 10minues, as far as cash back's go it was easy.
        I already have a scratch VM, and a debit card with $1 that I keep for TRIAL activations.

    The shifters are very good for the money. Well made for the money{$59-69 etc}. Dont buy one if you are going to use it to learn with as it very vague with no gates. Good fun if you just using it for fun of shifting, in fully sick drift bro mode:)

    JB offered this Norton trial when I bought a phone, I followed all the steps but the gift card never arrived. But 100s of reminders to pay for Norton to keep the account active, lol.

      Just the shifter. The clutch is part of the pedal set that comes with the steering wheel.

    This requires an adapter to plug into your PC if you intend to use it without a logitech wheel.

      Utilising engine break with clutch/throttle-down shifting plus light brake before turns allows you to approach turns at faster speeds and slow down later, thus reducing overall time.

      the shifters don't require batteries as they plug into the bottom of the g29/g923/g920
