Pretty much the title.
Seen many ads across social media but all reviews are fake accounts far as I can tell.
Hoping someone has tried and tested a teeth whitening kit, or similar, and had some good results!
Which Teeth Whitening Products Are Actually Good?
Comments
Hydrogen peroxide or carbomide peroxide are the well researched active ingredients that work best. Essentially any tooth whitening that uses something else does not have the clinical backing to remove tough stains.
Look at HiSmile - they use some other formula that has only been 'clinically tested' on 20 people for 10 minutes (it's in their website) then pay millions to social media influencers. Their reviews on product review forums speak for themselves.
Only one that has worked for me was the kit I got from an actual dentist. They took an imprint, made a mould, made me a personalised retainer thing, and gave me the whitener kit.
After a couple of week of that I had people commenting that my teeth look whiter.
Nice, how much did it cost you if you don't mind me asking.
It was quite a few years ago, but I think it was about $300ish. My PHI covered a good chunk of it.
That sounds awesome. What did you ask for to get given this treatment? And if you don't mind, how much did it cost?
Just a take home teeth whitening kit. But they are different to the ones on the internet because the tray is custom moulded to you.

I can second this, you’ll get results within 4-8 weeks, good to take photos in the same lighting to compare. But be mindful that if you stop your teeth will over time fade back to its natural colour.
In any case you will have your mould to use for years to come and you’ll only need to spend about $20 for a tube of the hydrogen peroxide which for me lasts about a month of daily application. Fairly cheap
I'll ask for this at my next dentist appointment. Is hydrogen peroxide something which must be purchased from a dentist?
The celebrity white teeth you see are veneers. No home teeth whitening kit will give you that result. Plus they can damage your teeth with long term use.
It's different for different people and different levels of staining as well as different sources of staining.
Some people are fine with standard hydrogen peroxide toothpastes, some swear by Whitening strips, others insist on dental cleans and polishes from Groupon every few months, while some spend thousands upon thousands on procedures and veneers.
There's no one size fits all.
