Can anyone explain to me why on Earth they need my home address just for entry?
If you say something along the lines of “so they know where to send it if you win” I will call BS as I have won a phone from overseas in a Gleam comp and they acquired my address through email correspondence, ie. the correct way to run a competition.
most of these comps are just data mining exercises. I don't even bother with the ones asking for mobile #. Get enough spam as is.
the 120 spam emails I get every couple o days in a throw away email account agrees with you on spam/data mining.. this is the only place i've used it LOL!
Why they need DOB as well in many comps… although 1/jan/1980 often gets a run
