Charger and cable for Samsung S21

Hello smart people!,

Due to my inability to understand things power related. I am looking for a good charger and cable for my new S21

I have an S8+ so already have that charger, but I think thats adaptive fast charge or something so doesnt charge as fast and I might as well get something that does the job quicker

Now Im confused what charger is Fast Charge and what charger is Super Fast Charge and what cable I need to maximise that charge.

An amazon search brings up alot of chargers, but I want something reliable that isnt going to screw up my phone.

Do I just go to JB and grab the Samsung 25W charger and be done with it? Or do I just use my S8+ charger because who really needs their phone charged that fast.

Suggestions, come at me!

    Just use your existing charger and cable. It will be fine.

    The S8 charger is just fine! I use a S6 charger on the S21u

    remember li batteries are happiest between 20 to 80% this is for longevity

    Your s8 charger should fast charge and will work fine. You'll need a power delivery charger to super fast charge but the few minutes you'll gain in charge time probably isn't worth the outlay. There's also some debate as to whether super fast charging constantly is a good idea for battery health.

    As for cables, I've used Baseus cables from eBay for a long time. Good quality without the ridiculous prices some brands charge. Available in short, medium or long lengths.

    Finally, if you do buy a charger, make sure it's got a usb-c port so you can use the cable you got in the box

      S21s don't come with a charger brick.

          Why? Most people would have multiple lying around unused. I'm happy to pay $50 less to not get one.

      Nup no phones come with chargers to save eco waste (which actually means take more money off you) - although I do like the idea because I hate having 3000 chargers around.

    This one is up to you. if you want the phone to say super fast charging then buy the Samsung 25W Charger

    The S21 will charge fine with the Original S8+ Charger. Just slower that's all.

    If you really want a fast charger, I recommend just get the $29 Samsung 25w one. Just be aware that you will need usb c to usb c cable like the one that came with your s21. If you want to re use your old usb A cables, stick with your old charger.

    Samsung 25W charger will charge your S21 the quickest but it will also wear out your battery quicker. (That's why you can control the charging speed can be control on the phone). If you charge your phone overnight, you can use your current charger and set your S21 to the slowest charging speed. But if you are the type who needs to charge and go in a hurry, then get the 25W charger to get the quickest charging speed.
