Ubisoft games generally go on sale very very quickly as history has shown us. $162/180 for a Ubisoft digital game is insane.

Especially for a reskin of the previous Farcry games

      • +2

Giving you an upvote for that comment because of 'truth'

    • Yeh not sure if it was considered quick by AC Valhalla down to $30 kind of saddens me, especially as it's not a bad game.

    What a rip off

Not really sure what the general consensus about this one is, but I personally don't have high hopes.

  • +24

You have to be a MASSIVE Far Cry fan to even consider purchasing this

    • +2

Have to agree. The copy/paste formula was lost on me a long time ago.

      • +1

I played 5 online co-op with a mate and it was an absolute blast.
But yeah this way to expensive for us, and we're hanging out for it.

    • I'd say I'm right up there when it comes to being a fan of Far Cry, but I'm not buying anything other than the cheapest version.

  • +2

Wait a few months/a year and the price will probably drop to near nothing. This is probably not the best price imo.

  • +5

Physical release price for the base game is $69-$79. Factor in release dates of the DLC etc and you might as well wait for a sale.

  • +2

    Need a deal for PC.

    • Go to steam-unlocked lol

  • +9

    No thanks.
Huge backlog, not paying anything more than $50 from now onwards :)

  • +5

Will wait and pick this up for $20 in 6 months.

  • Fools and their money…

  • 10% off for 'UBISOFT' the game.

  • +3

I remember paying this much for MW2 and those came with toy night vision goggles and a hard case for the game. This uhhh gets you skins and passes?

  • Pretty good deal if the price is under 38 bucks.

  • +1

I just bought Watch Dogs 3 Ultimate Edition for 30 bucks so I would wait a bit on this

  • +4

    That's a terrible deal.

  • +3

Where is this pretty good deal you speak of

  • +2

Considering Far Cry 5 almost dropped to half price 3-5 months (judging by camelx3) after launch can't see the value in this. Im pretty sure I bought it from Big W a bit after 6 months for $15 or so. This is basically the reason I wouldn't buy a digital only console as the launch prices are ridiculous.

  • Not feeling the whole borderlands cartoony vibe for a ps5 game…. i was expecting more… honestly that alone has put me off and I was quite looking forward to it… :(

  • FC5 got worse as a game the more you played it

On what planet/dimension is $161.95 for a digital copy of a game considered a bargain?

  • +2

I understand it's an "Ultimate Edition" but a $180 game? Go (profanity) yourself. They're really pushing game prices too far this gen, especially with digital sales.

  • +2

For that price i was expecting it to come with a statue of some physical thing..

    .. Digital only wtf

  • +6

just posting a comment so I can give my negative vote.

    • You need to give a reason for why you are negging.

      • +1

        not a good deal

        • +1

That still doesn’t quite cut it. Read here.

  • +1

Is Far Cry the title or the reaction to this ridiculous pricing?

    • +2

I think that should be Far Q

  • Ill pick up a couple on my way home.

  • Glad I grabbed the disc version of the console, the markup in the digital store is (profanity) insane. I was looking at standard edition AAA titles (no season pass or anything, just the regular old game) for $120 yesterday! Same games were easily available on disc for $80. I like the option of being able to grab a game digitally and not clown around with a disc like it's 1997 but how on earth can they justify the physical copy costing so much less.
