Good find, now I need to go find a Costco membership…
Yeah good find but not really a significant savings over the 15% off Apple gift cards at Woolies last week. Shouldn't feel too bad if you miss it.
I would not say +23% off RRP is an insignificant saving for a new release Apple…
Any saving of 10%+ for items priced over $1000 is significant in my books.
Would take 256gb with 15% discount ($1165) any day
@Terencey: Then you should have bought the gift cards from Woolies and buy yourself one.
@Terencey: No this is a price error
It is a good deal over RRP, just not that appealing with the recent Woolies deals where you can get them on the release day.
And if you were/know a Woolies team member, you get another 5% discount and additional 10x bonus pts. Works out to abt 25% discounts without considering other discounts/rebates you might have.
How to use apple gift cards to buy phones?
Are you getting confused with iTunes cards?
They are different to Apple giftcards.
@UFO: They are the same now. In fact you can't even get iTunes giftcards anymore unless someone managed to pull out an old batch from behind the cabinet.
I ended up getting $200 in rewards from that deal, thumbs up.
Cant even justify paying 1.3k
Don't bring up Oppo in front of apple fanboys. They will neg you hard.
OOS when adding to cart, did anyone get one?
Oos now
wow im too poor to buy this, but looks like nice savings or good for flipping
Yep, daily reminder of the fact a person needs to spend money to make money :(
damn damn damn got blue into cart but too slow on checkout OOS
Damn. And I thought paying 400 for my S21 was expensive.
That's a great price. For the quality hardware and now improved quickness in updating software, that's really good value for money. I got mine for way more…. really happy
The mini is $1700? wtf. Doesnt that still have a 60hz screen too
Apple storage increments are ludicrously priced, to entice people into their iCloud subscriptions.
Mini:
128GB = $1199
256GB = $1369
512GB =$1719So effin BS. $520 increase from a 128GB to 512GB when the component cost might be about $100. That's so effin typical of Apple.
Probably have another year or two left in my iPhone 7+ still I think 🤔
As long as you don't keep updating your iOS haha
Tridat
Ridiculous how they can get away with this shit.
Your post makes no sense - even the 6S supports iOS15.
Makes sense to me.
I've had iPhones for yonks. They go through a sudden 'aging' coinciding with the flurry of updates around the time of new product releases.
I'm not saying it's intentional, just that it's there.
Although maybe not as obvious these days, to be fair.
@andresampras: Not my experience - there can be an issue if your battery starts to degrade but even that can now be addressed by a relatively cheap new battery. My near 4 year old 8 plus is running the recently released iOS 14.8 just fine.
@Tiigger: I was specifically commenting on the above poster's iPhone 7+
My 8plus is also still fine, on iOS 15
It's fine being an Apple user, but we still need to acknowledge the less than ideal bits. May not affect you personally, but you mustn't frivolously discount other people's experiences.
@andresampras: I provided a solution to the issue you referred to - that’s not being frivolous
@Tiigger: "Apple faces yet another lawsuit over throttling iPhones" https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.theverge.com/platform/amp/2…
@Tech45: Fixed by the cheap battery replacement I reference.
@Tiigger: Anyone can fix things once it's out in the public. What matters is the principle of not deceiving your customers into constantly upgrading things.
The right to repair issue that's going on is another example of Apples ethics:

@Tech45: I didn't know about these lawsuits, interesting.
I've had iPhones for yonks.
That's where the problem is here. You're basing this off the old iOS updates. Ever since the iOS 12 update, iOS devices have actually sped up through each update.
@Zackeroo: Fair enough. Could be a lingering bitterness for me.
Having said that these lawsuits add an interesting angle to the topic.
@andresampras: I agree, the first lawsuit regarding the battery issue a couple years ago is the reason why they stopped slowing down iOS devices through software updates imo. iOS 12 actually sped up the devices which was a weird thing… iOS 11 slowed down devices, along with 9 and 7. Ever since the lawsuit they stopped this trend
my son's 6s still is going very strong
512gb.mini…… a bicycle with sat nav….
Teslacycle
?
More like a VW Polo GTI
I prefer to buy a 128gb and then expand the Nand to 512GB. cost me around $110
deets please
He probably downloads his nand
with the installation, won't they compromise the waterproof seals?
As well as the warranty. Would only ever try such a thing on a second hand phone where the warranty is already void.
I know there's a slight difference, but why pay more than $1300 for a new 128GB mini iPhone when iPhone 12 mini was under $1k recently and possibly still available? Also RRP is not more than $1700 for the mini SKUs, that would be the Pro RRP.
Edit: Whoops! 512GB. Still, that's alot to spend on a phone that's mostly the same as last year's model.
Agree. That’s a lot of extra cash for a slightly better battery.
Also worth noting that the iPhone 13 mini has better battery life compared to last year's model, so that might be a crucial factor.
I was going to upgrade from the XS Max this year. Even stocked up on Apple gift cards from Woolies. Instead I decided to give it a miss and gave the credit to my brother to spend instead.
The iPhone 13 is very underwhelming this year.
Someone must have Brodened them all. They added a maximum purchase of 3 to the listing. But still haven't fixed the price error.
Still not worth it
For me it is I can’t afford it.
Apple needs to bring back the original price tag of $999 for their pricing like before, more people will buy that way. So $999 for their max GB phone
‘Apple has unveiled the iPhone 5, saying it is thinner and lighter than the previous model, even though it has a bigger screen. Australians will be able to buy one next Friday.
The iPhone 5 comes in either white and silver or black and slate and will be sold in Australia for $799 for the 16GB model, $899 for the 32GB model and $999 for the 64GB model. Apple said customers could pre-order from this Friday. Online retailer Kogan.com.au, which obtains goods cheaper from overseas markets, announced it was accepting pre-orders on the 16GB model for $699.’
More chance of them bringing back Steve.
PS. You should see the price of the iPhone 25! No wonder it was the last… Oh, I've said too much.
