Back in stock!

NVR + 4 D820A cameras for $544 delivered.

I think this might be a price error, NVR + 4 D820A cameras is cheaper ($544) NVR + 3 D820A cameras ($568).

@MoonlapseVertigo: mine was delivered today, but that was before the suspicious influx of orders today

  • I would like to learn more about the different Reolink cameras and find it somewhat confusing. Any links to simple explanation of camera differences?

  • Finally got the order to go thru, but the way stock is fluctuating, I expect it to be cancelled.

Had an order go through and applied an eBay plus voucher so came to $516.80.
    Thanks OP

    • What's the eBay plus voucher please to get to $516.80?

      • it's an afterpay voucher

        • But I didn't use afterpay. Was just an offer to save money thing so I clicked it, but paid with card and still paid the smaller amount.

          • @Loracks: Mmm, mine was a specialised afterpay discount. Might have been an old one.

  • Anyone know how much it may cost to get a proper electrician to install these for me?

    • $600ish? Depends on the roof type, wall structure etc. I got mine about three months ago at $700, I knew it wasn’t the cheapest quote but was happy enough to accept it

    • A lot. If you follow the rules, the electrician needs a class 2 security licence.

Noone is going to get a warrant to check if your cameras are connected. So, if the cops ever ask… they're just fakes.

I paid $150 to install 3 cameras in feb 2020 from airtasker. One was wireless and two were wired.

    • It depends.

  • Ordered a kit so will see if it comes through.

  • These or Dahua / Hikvision 4K

You can't beat these for value for money. I'd say the above have better night vision but personally, I don't think that's worth the extra money you pay for them.

    • the image quality is not big different but cheaper. their accessories are garbage though. You'd better buy wall plug and screw, maybe Ethernet cables from outside too

I bought some cheap 4 x PoE 5MP 1080p camera and NVR off eBay for $132 delivered as a temporary and backup until I buy the Hikvision CCTV. In the box were cat 5e cables and will be used for my future-proofed (and researched) Hikvision 8Mp 4K system. Yes, the seller of these said that Cat 5e would be suffice.
I have intentions of running 8 x 4K Camera - Hikvision then I would recommend 16 Channel NVR as the bandwidth can handle the 4K input. 8 Channel NVR for 8 4K cameras are insufficient bandwidth.

  • Looks like its back in stock, but it is now $720. Will be interested to know if they will honour all purchases as they did for me.

  • Price is AU $720.00 for me?

    • they caught on and raised the price. The Ozbargainer effect on price errors.

      Was a special.
They run promos from time to time.
They are also quite good with service and honouring prices.

  • I think thats this kit? https://reolink.com/au/product/rlk8-820d4-a/

If it is i have this installed now, electrician used the cables included and its been very good so far. I did ask about the cable quality but they didn't think they were too bad for what they needed to do. I think we paid about $600ish for install that included camera installed under eaves, running cables, installing a new gpo and running a long hdmi cable to the tv for the nvr.

  • Bugger missed it

  • Wow good price for this

  • I have similar from Kogan Deal. work great. Downside is they can be twisted off by perps…

    • If someone really wanted to steal a camera, a tiny locking screw will not stop them. Doesn't take much force at to outdo the theft screw

  • Similar were significantly cheaper in April

    • 5MP vs 4K(12MP) are pretty far from bring similar.

      • True

  • I bought the 5MP (2560 x 1920) version of this kit (https://www.amazon.com.au/dp/B07H3QVZQ2/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_g…) from Amazon on sale for $427.49 during Prime Day or similar, and had it installed recently. Good quality (but still wish I’d gone 4K), good reviews, and simple install/setup/app setup. Highly recommend them.

  • Got one, seems like the order will be fulfilled. I think this is the lowest price I've seen for this kit?

    • Like now or yesterday, make sure you didn't buy the 5MP. The 820s are $719 the 822 are $699 but the 520s are this price

      • Yesterday. It's gone back up now.

Just got a shipping notification so it’s turned out to be a great deal.

I have a Reolink camera set up and the night mode performance is awful. In the default settings I appeared almost invisible at night time standing less than 10m away from the camera. You can tweak it with settings but the end result isn't great still.
