  • A little more expensive than the Aldi not so long ago: http://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/62638 Pity about the $5 delivery.

    • +1

      A few left at $10 in some Aldis

      • agree
        also the title is misleading
        it's not "Mains Power" Meter
        it's only a small "power reader"

  • Is that the meter that has trouble accurately reading anything that draws less than 30W?

  • +1

    Feels like advertising to me rather than a bargain.

    • +1

      so truee

    • Advertising.. not a bargain

      • fatbelly, keefy, please explain. If you can find this elsewhere cheaper than that's fine. Feels like an advertisement doesn't help users or reps. Come on, let's all work together here.

  • +1

    Just an ad really and you can;t use the $10 voucher either.

  • -1

    We originally had it priced at $25 delivered, we have dropped it to $19 and that is why we posted the bargain.

    • -3

      Discount != Bargain.

      It's like a store discounting a Pen that with RRP of $10 to $5 when there were/are bargains where you could get a similar/same pen for $1.

      $1 = bargain
      $5 = discount != bargain.

      If bargain = false
      {
      Advertising()
      }

      Advertising()
      {
      While(1)
      {
      Negative +1
      }
      }

      Infinite loop down vote KABOOM!

      It's been a while since i did any coding, please ignore any syntax errors.

      • +1

        you should indent your parenthesesed bits ;)

        • What's with the down votes? LoL I indented but they cleaned it out. :(

  • I do need one… Anyone got one of this model? Are they any good?

    • It looks like the same one I bought some time ago from Todae for around $35 and almost certainly made in China too. I can only say that it works. I don't have any way of verifying the accuracy. So just use it as a rough guide to the power hungriness of your appliances.

      PS: If you are just going to do some one off measurements, why not ask around in say Freecycle if someone will lend or even give you one?

    • I bought one from Jaycar when they first came out, around $40. They don't work all that well with small loads and has trouble with certain PC power supplies. It may have been updated since then, but I bought an Aldi power meter in the last round of sales and it gives much better readings.

  • Cheapest on Ebay = $21.95 delivered, AU seller vs $19 from AGL delivered = 13% plus saving. A bargain. To those complaining, move on, nothing to see here.
