I did a dumb thing.
I bought a Chromecast from Dick Smith without realising that it is a fake until the package arrived.
Of course, they don't have a phone number or email to contact them on. I'm not sure if they will take it back. I feel scammed. It didn't occur to me that if it didn't say Google Chromecast it was going to be some dodgy copy from China.
I haven't opened the package, what should I do?
Are you sure it's a fake? It's often just a grey import or a refurb in a plain box, I would guess it's actually a real one if you ordered the google chrome cast device, but not if you ordered the Wi-Fi Digital HDMI 2nd Generation Media Video Streamer Adapter For iOS/Android, do similar work as Chromecast.
You won't have a problem dealing with them, they will take it back if you want them to.
They are good with their customer service.

just chat with them.
I have had no problems with their service, I have even been to the Kogan office many years ago before they bought Dick Smith.
