Which Crypto Coin Would You Buy?

I want to buy a teeny amount of coin for the fun of watching it increase.

Particularly there are some new ones that have been added

FLOW | MINA | WAXP | ROSE | GNO

ALPACA | MBOX | FARM | ARPA

Someone on here recommend polkadot and they have been good.

    ALPACA & FARM
because who doesnt want an alpaca farm?

    • My friend has an actual alpaca farm

    • Lol first time I'm actually checking out forums and came across this. Kudos to you, that's a good one!

      • +5

        What's your story andrew?

    • Alpaca is up 11.5%.
You really were on to a winner.

  • Have u heard of this upcoming project DOGE

Elon has become bored with tweeting about doggy coin. Need to ask him which coin he'll pump and dump next.

To quote Elon: "Yeah, it's a hustle"

      • Floki was it but I missed the pump.

  • Maybe a gold coin from the Perth Mint?

    • +2

But, but… I want a coin that grows 10x within weeks, not a boring few percent per year :-)

My free $10 of polkadot is now at $30. No complaints.

  • Do your research, then get a dartboard and throw some darts at random coins.
While you are at it, add in some ASX codes and together, hold on for the ride!!!

If you have a pet, let them pick some too!

    • Underrated and underappreciated comment.

      This is the way.

Actually. Statistically. Random investments generally tend to outperform "rational" ones in empirical studies.

      • Thank you!
Funny this was from Sept last year! hahah But its pretty much the truth and reality of it…

Unless one knows a really good company that has been under valued, spots it and buys… Then often one can get a bit lucky.

  • FLOW | MINA | WAXP | ROSE | GNO
    ALPACA | MBOX | FARM | ARPA

All of these coins (FLOW, MINA, WAXP, ROSE, ARPA) and tokens (GNO, ALPACA, MBOX, FARM) are degen plays. The one that looks the most promising is FLOW with VC backing. Make sure not to put any more than 1% capital in any of them.

    • What's the one that returns +19% on savings ?

      • +1

        None of them.

+19% is from interest on DeFi.

    • Thanks. I’ll give it a go.

  • +3

nxm on the ASX, I got in at 7c

    • humblebrag ?

      • +1

just a little. Not often does it work out, but this one is riduculous. Still more to go.

    • any tips on the next “nxm” you could share?

      • Did you buy any NXM? At 45c now, up from 35c when I posted.

I just bought NIC. Seems to be at a dip.

When my brother gives me more tips, ill share them.

    All in on shib

    • Damn, you brave

      • Got my lambo on order already.

    • +1

put $100 last night, went up to $130, got my Ubereat sorted 😅

  • lol

  • Can some1 tell me what Musk is accumulating prior to his tweet ?
That will make you a billionaire in a few years :)

ADA will pop once smart contracts are fully implemented in coming weeks/months

ETH is always a good buy

    • Thanks.

  • FLOW | MINA | WAXP | ROSE | GNO
    ALPACA | MBOX | FARM | ARPA

    None of those

I want to buy a teeny amount of coin for the fun of watching it increase.

If you are in it for the fun of watching it increase (noting it can also decrease), then any coin would do.

Which Crypto Coin Would You Buy?

For fun, I would buy AAVE, SLP, or AXS based on their utility.

  • hi all…

Looks like a sea of red across all crypto at the moment… This is normal.

Just hold (or HODL as the crypto community calls it)… it will go back up eventually.

  • From that pretty shit list, GNO.

  • Cumrocket.

Talking from my own 6 months experience with crypto currencies.
Which to date has doubled my total investment of $5000 ($10221 as of 1 hour ago).

WARNING: Never invest money in crypto that you're not prepared to lose.
I know this sounds common sense, but greed can be a dangerous thing and a real possibity if you aren't already aware it could occur.
Seriously.. Watch out for the greed factor.. It will ruin you if you let it.

MY 6 MONTHS OF CRYPTO BUYING
    Ive bought:
    doge
    Shiba
And also fell for safe moon (yes.. I know.. Even the name right,,, my $100 is now currently worth ~$18 and falling- I leave it there as a stark reminder of never again being frivolous in coin buying)
And a host of other coins.

With mostly profits, I wouldn't have bought Safe moon, or Shiba, or even Doge coin tbh, if I had done my homework first tbh.
Asking a forum of people what they would buy is unfortunately not the most logical way to decide what currencies to invest in.
This is how I ended up buying these risky coins.

**Homework is paramount (and yes… The boring part of crypto trading)..

It also depends on how you plan to invest.
    A) HODL
    B) Buy and sell regularly
    C) Day trade.

My advice (well, not advice as I don't give financial advice)

    A) HODL:
Stick to the stable coins: BTC, ETH For example.

With HODLing most popular way is to simply work a budget on how much you want to invest in a regular basis (weekly, fortnightly, monthly, etc) and use that as your strategy. Example: some decide to give up smoking and put the money they used to buy cigarettes to buy coins. Or decide 'do I really need that expensive coffee, treat, etc' and then use that as your regular buying amount.

    B) Buy and sell regularly:
Keep a ledger of what the coin cost you to buy (and importantly how much the trading fees will cost you), and have some fun watching the fluctuations and try to buy the dips and sell when it rises high enough.
If you do want to do this you're going to need to do some homework first.
Particularly learn about 'Candlestick charting' (used and very useful for stock trading as well).

I use the 'Buy sell regularly' strategy mostly atm. I have a system of alerts set for when a coin fluctuates beyond a certain point.
When these alerts go off, I check the candlestick charts for that coin.
Going off what I see I then decide whether to buy/sell.
Example: bought a fraction of Bitcoin when it was worth $50000 and then sold a fraction when it reacted $65000. I then rebought a fraction of BTC when it dipped to $52000, and then resold when it reached $85000.
As I didn't have a huge about of BTC at that stage this inky resulted in a profit of a few hundred dollars. (I don't have a huge crypto spend budget atm).

The other part of this strategy I use (not everyone likes this strategy) is to manage to sell enough of what I've bought to basically be left with 'casino money'.
Meaning that the initial amount I invested in that coin I've managed to cash out on yet still have some of those invested coins in my portfolio.
Example: bought $100 of a coin. It doubles in price. I then sell 1/2 of them. And I'm left with $100 of a coin still (if you don't include the transaction fees of course).

I used this initially as I was still sceptical about investing in crypto at that stage. I do it less now as my strategy is starting to move more towards HODLING strategy.

    C) Day trade:
The most difficult and not suggested for a newbie.
Seriously.. Not suggested for a newbie.
    Which included myself.

    ADDITIONAL:
I was lucky to come across the crypto trading platform crypto.com.
Although this isn't the only one out there, this one suited me best.
    Why? The perks:
    1) easy trading app (with a 30 day free trading fee.. Allowed me to practice buy/sell without incurring fees).
    2) a Visa card tier system that gave me cashback benefits (including paying 100% of my spotify subscription fees) the higher the their the better the benefits.
    3) ability to make ongoing money from my coins I purchased (currently getting 7% APY back on my main coin, paid to me weekly). Much better than the measly 0.5% that the bank can give me. This has made me a couple of hundred dollars so far.

    So…
My main coins atm (all stable coins, listed from the most I have of a coin to the least)
    CRO- The crypto.com coin
    BTC- wish I had more
    ETH
    ADA

Oh.. And I just discovered this one:
    https://ousd.com/
Get around 9.76% interest back on this virtual USD coin.
(Can't say anymore on it as I haven't even tried it yet, but it does spark my interest)

    AGAIN
Only spend what you're prepare to lose
If you lost all your coins tomorrow would ut crush you? If so, you're investing too much.
Watch out for the greed factor.
Keep records on what you do, and thus you learn from your mistakes (I can't emphasis this enough here… Remember a gambke only talks about his winning and not his losses).
and DO YOUR HOMEWORK (which isn't just asking strangers, including myself, what to do).

    Hope this helps.

especially so you can fill in your next year CGT report

People that are making high 6 and 7 figures in this industry should consider incorporating a company in tax-free countries. They can then avoid taxes or pay a minimum amount of tax just like their elected government officials.
