surely nobody would do that….. /s
Haven't even heard of your services/products.
Been around a week or 2
1989
The Sound Blaster 1.0 (code named "Killer Kard"), CT1320A, was released in 1989
Back in our day motherboards didn't even have AUDIO! We had to put in a PCI card and setup IRQs!
And we LIKED it!!
haha, yep, I got an 8bit SB card when I was playing KingsQuest VI so I could hear more than just the beeps coming from the PC speaker. :)
No we didn't, it was a pain in the arse and they had a pc speaker on the mobo.
I had a Creative Zen Vision M back in the day. That was good.
Don’t really use your products anymore, you guys seem to be more obscure these days.
I sold mine and regretted it ever since 😭
Oh. I think I have one of their MP3 players. Huh not sure where it went now that I think about it…
Wow didn't even know creative was still around, what a blast from the past. My favourite is probably the sound blaster 16.
Always thought that Creative was a brand that offered mainly audio gears but like.. 'gamer' quality products. That is to say.. not very high quality and you're priced as such. Although cheaper than some equally low quality products of bigger brands.. like Logitech.
Wouldn't be the first brand that comes to mind if I wanted good quality audio. I do have a Creative Live! Cam and for the price I got it for ($45), its just fine but would have been pretty disappointed if I paid RRP.
my fave product? Your CEO's book - Chaotic Thoughts From The Old Millennium. Should freely distribute that e-book to boost company profile =)
IMO, the software for your tech products tend to be full of bloat and doubtful 'features'. ASUS is like this too, full of grand ideas that don't execute well or add serious benefits.
There are so many soundblaster product variations even within one generation.
Fond memories of experiencing Sound Blaster16 because the PC store at the time bundled it with a CD drive and a set of 16 games (Syndicate, Wing Com2, Ultima 8, 4x Microprose games, Grolier Encyclopedia, Rebel Assault, etc)
I don't, had a Audigy 2 card, until creative stop supporting it to sell their worse X-FI cards. Forced me to use onboard sound, which turned out to sound better and perform better.
So your policy of forced obsolesce made creative become obsolete for me.
Creaf hasnt been relevant for the past 10-15-20yrs.
I used to own one of your MP3 players back in 2005(?), I actually thought it was good and didn't like it when I replaced it with an iPod. I didn't realise you guys were still around, good on ya!
I like how you drop software support of previous products once you release a new version to push people to upgrade for minor differences.
