Taste like any Nissin instant noodles with added sesame oil. Noodles are not as springly as other instant noodles. Don't get fooled by the "real restaurant taste".

Agreed. Was excited to try these but underwhelmed once I did. Just by cheap noodles and spend the difference on oils/sauces/toppings.

      • I recommend pork, beef and fish balls too.

      • Check out Ichiran instant ramen. It actually is excellent and tastes like real tonkotsu ramen. I wouldn't bother adding the chilli powder though. add some nori, spring onion, marinated soft egg and chashu (if you can be bothered making it) and you'll have something that's better than most of the restaurants in australia.

        • Great recommendation. But not easy to find it in Australia?

        • Looked it up, and it sounds good but at around $8-$10 per packet it seems a bit expensive?

Where do you buy it and how much do you pay?

@Shoocat: It’s exy but worth it because it’s restaurant quality IMO. I’ve seen it at chaddy Asian grocers and HK supermarkets in Clayton. Usually $45 for a pack with 5 serves. I make a big porlex belly chashu roll that I slice up and freeze in portions. I make soft boiled eggs I marinade in the morning so they’re ready for the ramen in the evening. Add a bit of spring onion and seaweed and it’s 😘👌

Cannot understand the hype on these either. Average noodles, pretty bland taste and way too salty. And not even made in Japan..

Weird taste buds. Can't be bland and too salty at the same time.

  • I have to try this.

    Isn't this full price?

Look up the ingredients, you will never want to eat it again.

    • Seems to be like any other instant noodle packet, what's wrong with it?

  • Made in Indonesia? nah. Japan is No1.
