Whats the difference between business warranty and the normal one?

    • Hi Kei, when an appliance, tv etc is used in a commercial environment (such as a office) it is seen as commercial use and not the use the unit was intended for (residential use).

In this situation the supplier often will only honour 1-2 weeks of warranty to cover any manufacturing flaws, from then on you can be on your own.

A business warranty does not extend a manufacturers warranty, it is your warranty and only required in a commercial setting.

Obviously all claims are reviewed on a case by case basis, we do know some people have argued the point and succeeded in making a claim when it was used in a commercial setting, with that being said we know just as many who haven't.

      • I wonder if 1-2 weeks somehow bypasses your consumer rights? Like you said people who argue their case (at least with the right people) would be 100% entitled to AT LEAST a 2 year warranty at the price point for this TV.

        • Tvs are a hard one and I don't think any supplier has the rule as a straight DOS approach. If a tv was used in a shop and on 24 hours a day running promotional material etc this would be a straight out no I believe (unless it was a factory fault), a tv in the office break room falls into the same category however its pretty easy to justify it being average daily use and I have no doubt any supplier would agree. On the flip side, the office fridge with 40 staff opening and closing it all day jam packed it's a tough one to argue. That's a conversation for our appliancesonline.com.au team, they get very excited about white goods, we prefer to talk about the fun appliances @bbb ;) if you are buying an extended warranty for a "commercial" setting you do need a business warranty, if the supplier offers their warranty also then the business warranty just starts when the suppliers ends. Hope this helps

Nice one BigBrownBox….Keep bringing these kinda counter offers to COTD…Keep the good work up !

  • BigBrownBox - It says on your website that the TV is only available in NSW, QLD & WA is this correct?

It also says that it's now out of stock.

    • Hi Bob81, we can confirm that we have sold out in Victoria in the last hour.

I have one of these, and it's a great TV!

However I had to change the first set as there was some light bleed issues, so make sure you are happy with their return policy.

Cheers for the counter-offer. Didn't get anything this round, but always prefer to buy from someone other than CoTD.

  • Haven't heard of BigBrownBox before, but upon visiting the website it resembled a carbon copy format of AppliancesOnline which I have bought from before. This company has competitive prices and are great for home deliveries. I received phone call to organise delivery date/time and on the day of delivery to confirm someone would be home.

    • Hi scytherbladez, well spotted, we are owned by appliances online

  • Fantastic TV, bought one last year when Samsung had the $150 promotion, ended up getting it for $2,500 from GG, less $150 came down to $2,350. $2,000 seems like a good price.

Then our job here is complete ;)

  • Hi Big Brown Box. While you are in a generous mood is there any chance of repeating the LG LW5700 at $1,395 February Ozbargain deal? I am in the market for two. Cheers, Cheap Steve.

    • Cheap Steve, we would love to help you out but unfortunately we can't get our hands on any more stock of this range. was there perhaps anything else you had your eye on? perhaps a 200 hertz toshiba may interest you http://www.bigbrownbox.com.au/toshiba-46wl800a-led/ glasses might be a bit more expensive but we would be happy to help you out there also.

      • Hi BigBrownBox,

While you're in the bargaining mood, any chance that you can beat Big W's price of $864.00 ($848 + $16.00 delivery) for the Panasonic VIErA TH-P46GT30A

        Thanks,

      • Your website lets me add two LG 55LW5700's to the cart. Just not at the price I am loooking to buy at. Are you sure there is no stock?

        • we currently have 1 unit only left in our Melbourne warehouse with no further deliveries expected from LG on this series.

If you set your location on the product page this will give you the in stock or out of stock message for the product you are after just below the add to cart button, checkout is still enabled due to the last one waiting to sell in Melbourne.

  • How many 3d glasses do you get in the box?

    • all samsung 3d panels come with 1 pair in the box

      • -1

so does that mean 2 glasses? as your website says 1

        • +1

A constant topic of conversation in the BBB office. Not sure of the correct term for the singular however it is 1 unit only…. 1 glass? Is included in the box

        • +2

A 'pair of glasses' has meant 1 frame containing two lenses since the beginning of time.

          Otherwise you'd by buying a 3D monocle which simply wouldn't work ;)

so its better to buy this as extra. thanks BBB for your fast answer

    • looks like a fair deal to us

  • What are the 3D glasses models that works with this TV?
