AVOID, have fun trying to claim warranty from grey market Hong Kong sellers. I've purchased a few grey imports from ebay etc and have had hit and misses when it comes to warranty issues. Best to keep it local.
For $500 i'd look into a decent mid-ranger. Maybe the Samsung Galaxy A32 or if you can the A52? Or the Google Pixel 4A?
just noticed there are lots of Samsung mobile phone sellers on ebay advertising AU stock happen to be based in Hong Kong, Malaysia or Taiwan. I got to check the seller before buying.
