Kewpie Japanese Mayonnaise
I personally love the Sriracha Mayo.
Return
Do I recall correctly that they will do a price guarantee refund if you contact support?
Nope. They never have for me. They rather you return.
Their shipping is super slow, surely you can cancel it.
Did we stop asking for previous price in the title?
I'm a fan of the wasabi one :3
Too mild for me. It doesn’t have any kick.
just mix the normal mayo with how ever thick of wasabi
ok I'll tell them to fix it
Tastes like horse radish to me
what a shocking coincidence!
Love this.
But, has anyone seen the other side of the equation, Bulldog sauce? The thicker, plum flavoured stuff that you use on Japanese croquettes and tonkatsu along with the Kewpie.
I used to be able to get it even at supermarkets but now, even my local Asian outlet has the thinner version, which is a bit like Worcestershire sauce. It tastes OK but it's just not as good as the original
Agreed branners.
Just went to Tongli but only seen other tonkatsu sauces and they don't look as thick.
is this healthier than margarine ?
supposedly made from egg yolks only as opposed to egg yolks + white in normal mayo
do you know how long does this last , opened and unopened ?
thanks
no sorry, i usually finish it within two weeks.
Are these better than the Heinz ones?
Kewpie mayonnaise is the best imo, taste better in my opinion than homebrand and Heinz mayos.
depends on what sort of flavour you are after. I bought one after all the raves to see what the fuss was about, but it tastes a bit strange to me, not sure if it is too salty or something else, but I am not a fan. My fav used to be the ETA mayo, but you can only get that in catering size 3.5kg these days, so my fall back is Praise reduced fat Egg (close to the taste of the ETA), or Praise traditional. I like a mayo with some tang and usually I have to add lemon juice or vinegar when making my potato salad to get close to the taste I want.
you definetly know your tastes ;)
Are these the Japanese ones or the other ones made elsewhere?
Made in Thailand I believe. I don't think you can get Japanese made Kewpie here.
Oh you can but it's $$ we go to Suzran in Camberwell.
Daiso sells the thai one.
Wouldn't have expect Thai ver at Daiso wow
I personally love the Sriracha Mayo.
same here. its a topping for almost every fast food i order (pizza, maccas, kfc etc) - cant wait to try it on the free sub from subway
cheaper to just mix the mayo with a bottle of own sriracha'/?
Tried alot back when KFCs snack pack sauce peaked my interest. This one is just right.
I know people rave, but I thought they are meh. A bit strange tasting, maybe too much salt? IDK Once this one is finished I won't be buying any more.
Probs the msg
Bummer just got 2 from Amazon
