Looking for recommendations on a mid range robot vacuum + mop around the $500 mark or below. There seems to be a plethora of different makes and models and it's not a simple one to navigate. Features of interest:
1. Mapping
2. Edge protection
3. Mopping is key - preferably something that does more than just a 'wiping action'
4. Lidar
I live in a 2 storey home with timber floors on the ground level and carpets on the upper.

I havent come across (though havent been keeping up to date) any that offer anything more significant than a 'drag wet mop around'.
Roborock S5 2nd gen or above is a good product.

This seems to have a better mopping feature but doesn't have a lot of reviews on the product itself which is making me hesitant

I will suggest get 2x Viomi S9 UV (the latest S9 model). The RRP is $999, but if you check ozbargain the distributor seller in australia (Panmi) will do a bargain $499 + free delivery here and then. Very powerful vacuum suction, mopping function, good area detection, good hair cleaning. you can disable the mop if not require
I have the Xiaomi Roborock S5, it's great.
Do some digging around and web surfing and see if you can find one new from +/- $500 as they have no upgraded the model to a S5 Max which is around $700.
