10

Virtual-Shot is a revolutionary mobile-phone based system that turns your phone & rifle into a dry fire shooting simulator.

It consists of a Picatinny Rifle Mount and a Phone App.

The Picatinny Mount attaches to any picatinny rail and holds a mobile phone behind the eye piece ready to use the Virtual-Shot™ app.

Once the Rifle Mount and phone are attached to the rifle, the Virtual-Shot™ app creates a ballistically accurate shooting range that tracks the rifles movement enabling realistic shooting practice. Available through Google Play and Apple App Store.

NOTE: Different states in Australia have different laws regarding Gel Blasters. In most states you will need a licence (except QLD).

Are gel blasters even legal in Australia?

Edit: Can we even trust this seller if they think 50% off $189 is $89?

    • I agree

      Hi,

Yeah Gel Blasters are legal in QLD and for licence holders in other states, but better check your local state laws if unsure.

we just rounded the discount down… 53% off…

  • Any person in possession of a gel blaster firearm must possess a category 4 (paint-ball shooting) firearms licence and the gel blaster firearm must be registered as a firearm with a serial number.

    • All states have slightly different laws, QLD there is no licence requirement, but you are correct, some other states will require the licence you have indicated.

      • Should probably put this in the description

  • How does the game detect your trigger pulls?

      You have to shout "bang"

    • The app uses the phones microphone and sensors to detect the dry firing of a weapon. For real rifles this is the clicking sound of the firing pin, on gel blasters and airsoft weapons it is the dry firing sound that the piston makes. So no requirement to attach anything to the trigger.

      • Doesn't dry firing damage the blaster?

I know with modified nerf blasters they don't like to be dry fired

        • Depends on the blaster. We have used it extensively on stock standard AEGs and never had any issues.

      • So you can ruin your firing pin for the low, low price of $98?

        • Its a common misconception that dry firing damages firing pins. The creators of Virtual-Shot come from a military background and have used dry firing as a training tool for decades on both rifles and pistols and never had an issue with firing pin damage. On centerfire rifles, when no cartridge is present the tip of the firing pin strikes nothing in the breech, instead it is stopped by the bolt itself. The force of the firing pin being stopped by the bolt on center fire rifles is negligible. On a rim fire rifle however, the firing pin will hit the hard steel of the breechface and if done excessively will cause damage to the pin. It is for this reason that we recommend using snap caps if you want to dry fire your rim fire, they will work perfectly well with Virtual-Shot too.

  • Australian Business - but charging in USD? Am I missing something?

    • Most of our customers are in the US…

      • Fair enough. Keen to try, but might just wait for now.

  • Is there any way to test if the app will work on my particular phone? You mention the AR core is used but I can’t see that in the Android Play store?
